I guess I can't be mad at my husband when it's my fault that I forgot to tell him I only put $20 in the tank (the car has a broken gas gauge, so we use the trip odometer). He ran out of gas just as he rolled into town. Whoops.

I'm volunteering to set up a writers workshop at the library.
The librarian who pulled me in is a retired high school English teacher who I went to high school with, starting a second career.
My co-captain on the project is one of his former students.
I'm having fun telling her stories about when he was in school.

Looking forward to this, working with other writers should be fun.

Watching Zodiac: Signs of the Apocalypse on the Scy-Fy channel and it looks like the biggest threats to the characters are: the questionable CGI, the anemic script, and the chance they might have to actually act at some point if the script ever does call for it.

Just watched a video of a guy filming his day at the shooting range. He had the camera set up to the right of the gun to film as it ejected the shells.
Way too close, so a casing (and I'm assuming gases) stippled his lense, ruining it.

I was at an indoor gun range once, and the guy next to me was shooting a .45 semi-auto (I don't recall which model) that kept ejecting the casings over the top of barrier between the stations. He never said a word (he must have known, but demanding an apology or at least an acknowledgement at a gun range didn't seem like a good idea) but one of the employees did move him down a few stations.

Microsoft considering new name for Internet Explorer -
Microsoft is thinking about changing the name of Internet Explorer.

In an "Ask Me Anything" chat on Reddit last week, engineers from Microsoft's Internet Explorer team fielded questions about the world's most infamous Web browser.

Answering a question about whether Microsoft ever considered "rebranding and changing the name of Internet Explorer," the team conceded that it has -- and is.

"It's been suggested internally," the team commented. "Plenty of ideas get kicked around about how we can separate ourselves from negative perceptions that no longer reflect our product today."
    .......
That part in bold caught my interest. I have tried fairly newer versions of IE and I still find it appalling compared to Opera and Firefox. I have to hunt for the program briefly just to open it whenever a website thinks I just HAVE to use Explorer for their slice of heaven, and the slight cursing just gets worse when it does open. Feels like using MSPaint (anything lacking layers) compared to a program like GIMP, PS, etc if you are trying to edit or create a more complex image. It might get the job done but the trip is bumpier and uglier.

12+ hours of sleep later I feel awake again. Maybe I am getting a bit "old" for taking on 21 hours of work in one day.

Kale is kind of tough, even after sauteing. I've eaten a 16oz bag between dinner yesterday and lunch today. I now have arugula and spinach for a softer option.

Try braising... There's an awesome recipe on the kitchn for sulaweesi I think it's called. African braised kale with tomatoes, onion, turmeric... Delish.
