I was very sad that the NYX stock at my Ulta was totally picked over. I still picked up 2 pots of concealer to try and 2 lip creams; I can't resist the lip cream, so I picked up Amsterdam and Monte Carlo. @RedSneaker, I haven't forgotten your swatch request, don't worry! I also picked up Rimmel Scandaleyes as it was recommended for tightlining. It seemed to work really well. On my epic tightlining perfection quest, I discovered this tutorial, and intend to try it out in the future:

Oh how I adore Wayne Goss!

Let me know how it goes. I tried it with little success. I'd love to hear about your experience!

I can waste hours watching Wayne Goss tutorials...I'll be sure to keep you posted.

FYI Clinique is launching a facial cleanser similar to the Clarisonic. And they say it's gentle enough for sensitive skin. I'm expecting one to show up next week. I'm super interested in the comparison.

Let me know how it goes. I've switched almost entirely to chemical exfoliation. St. Ives pads don't irritate my sensitive spot.

Totally worth it. My store only had three samples and my mom and I got 2. I actually really like it. And they say it stays until you use their remover.

I might have to ship out to sephora tomorrow.

I DID do a mini pre-birthday haul at Ulta today, though. Pictures tomorrow. :)

NYX butter lipstick in Razzle is my new jam. I wish my shitty bathroom lighting gave you a better idea of how perfect this lipstick is. Obsession.

That looks great, @GeneticShift! I've wanted to check out the butter lipsticks. What's the texture like?

The butters are my favorite of all of nyx's lip products. They go on smooth and easily, are moisturizing, but don't finish too shiny. My perfect lipstick.

So, after an initial snafu, I got my hands on Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow in Ebony For a long time, I thought I didn't need to fill in my brows, as they're black, I thought it would look weird, and they're also relatively full already. However, after playing around with UD's Crave (a soft black) in my Naked Basics palette, I thought better of trying to fill my brows, as I generally liked the look. After seeing raves elsewhere over Dipbrow, I thought it would be a good product to try, as my brows definitely benefit from a bit of control (I use a MAC wax stick every day to tame my curly brows into place), and Ebony looked like a reasonable shade for me.

Holy eyebrows, Batman! While it's not something I'd likely wear every day, I'm definitely a fan. It takes barely any product to make my eyebrows look amazing (see Post Yourself for evidence). It's a little fiercer than what I'm used to, but I think in time I'll probably fill my brows in more often. It makes the curly bits less noticeable. I should also add that the Dipbrow wore well all day in 90 degree heat while traipsing around Portland.

Mine is Honey in the Revlon Balm Stain. It's awesome to have an MLBB. Honey just lives in my purse.

Going to pick up the Lorac Pro palette today. Does anyone else have this, and what are some looks you've done with it?

Also, I ordered the Revealed palette from Coastal Scents after trying out a sample of Revealed 2 (Birchbox) since the original Revealed was on sale. I'll probably pick up the 2 sometime in the future. In the sample of 2, I was really impressed by the pigmentation and blendability of the shadows. My understanding is that these palettes go on sale fairly frequently at bargain prices, so hopefully I don't have to wait too long to pick up 2, and supposedly some of the shades are decent dupes for the Naked palettes at 1/4 of the cost (after shipping).

Coastal Scents stuff is CONSTANTLY on sale. It's pretty awesome.

So, I picked this up on impulse at Sephora two weeks ago.

I've been wearing Violet a lot, because I'm all about the purple lipsticks. BUT, I finally tried Palomino today, and I am OBSESSED. This is the most long lasting hot pink lipstick I've ever used. Lasted my entire 8 hour shift (and lunch break where I stuffed my face) with no feathering, and only a little wear in the corners. I'll post pictures, but I am so blown away.

Ok. Top is immediately after application at 1230 pm. Middle is post work at 9 pm. Bottom is 1115 pm. Multiple food and drinks had between timepoints. I am blown away.

Urban Decay's Lash Subversion is a nice primer if you're into that sort of thing.

I'm also liking the new Manga Lash mascara from L'Oreal.

I may have already shared this. Sorry if I did. It's been a crazy couple of weeks.

I'm pretty sure you didn't. I've been looking at the Manga Lash, given what it's called and my own personal interests, but I thought it might be strange to buy a mascara solely due to its name and its relevance to my hobbies.

Aquaphor is the shit. It's the Frank's Red Hot of the beauty world. I put it on everything. Eye cream? Who needs it? Lip balm? Nope.

Right now, I'm sitting with a layer of Aquaphor on my face over my Cerave. I feel amazing.
