You are right about plagiarism. It takes a lot of creative effort. I tell people that back in college, I majored in Creative Cribbing.

I'm way too excited about the change to a unified Battle.net launcher.

I'm thinking about going to see Aerosmith tomorrow just to say I've seen them.

Obviously they are far past their prime, but they are a legendary band that I kind of liked growing up. Hmm.

I would go even if they are on their second round of formaldehyde for blood, always have enjoyed their music. I do wonder how Liv Tyler looks as good as she does when you consider her father even if her mother was a model/playmate/etc. (Just looked up her mother on google).

  11. Been going to their shows since the release of "Get Your Wings" and have never been disappointed. Who is the opening act? Last time I saw them, Cheap Trick opened the show. It was an amazing night!

It just says Aerosmith with special guest Slash. So I'm not sure if he'll open, or if he'll play with them on some select songs, or if he'll be out there all night.

I went for it. I found two tickets on Stubhub, aisle seats, 18th row, for almost $25 below face value, and with a VIP parking pass thrown in for free. The venue is an outdoor amphitheater that seats almost 30k people, and it has a few hundred close up parking spaces that are usually $30 (where my pass is for), and all the rest are a bit of a hike.

Seriously considering buying a typewriter on ebay for just past $30, it is only 70 miles away near Spokane and I should be able to able to buy some decent (as in not Walmart/drugstore stock) film on the same trip. "Post pictures online" means wait a week until the film is developed and you get the digital scans back, right?

Oh how the mighty (at least once very popular) hath fallen. For some reason this makes me think of the scene from This Is Spinal Tap where they're playing to a very small crowd in an outdoor amphitheater. Although it isn't an Aerosmith song, it does tie into this thread: "I want you to want me!"*

*Will REO Speedwagon ever live down that song?

Well, it is a 30k seat place, and it appears to be sold out. That's impressive with face value tickets in the good seats of $165+.

However, if you are willing to risk not going at all, great deals can be had on StubHub for almost any concert. Tickets just a few rows from mine were still at $600 apiece as of last night. My deal was more likely a function of someone who had tickets knowing they couldn't go at the last minute and dropping the price 24 hours before the concert just to make sure they didn't lose everything.

Seriously, as a tip for the future, check StubHub the day of or day before concerts. Many good deals to be found. I went to Jason Aldean a while back, like 7-8th row, for like $105. Two weeks earlier the same tickets were $400.
