Pointless Announcements

I love snakes.

 

I just had the weirdest way for a real estate agent to try to get me to contact them.
She sent me an email saying my neighbor complained to her that our pet snake was loose and I should get a hold of her right away.
That's a good one since I haven't had a pet snake since the 80s.

 

Just keep your pants on next time you go outside and those complaints should stop.

 

LOL.
I'm afraid in my case it would be more of an earth worm.


Seriously though, I haven't been there in over a month.
Did she really think I'd fall for that and how did she get my email.

 

I'm on my own tonight, but not for good reasons. I'm going to dig through the pile of DVDs that we haven't yet watched, and pick a couple that my wife wouldn't enjoy watching; yesterday afteroon it was Baron Munchausen (meh).

 

I heard Rapper's Delight tonight on one of my Pandora stations and I thought of Brian Williams instantly.

 

Some days, I can go from Danaerys to Gillian faster than I'd like to admit.

 

Last night and this morning I was wondering why the Dune three DVD director's cut set I bought (cheap) kept going on, & on, & on. Apparantly I have the 2000 mini series, not the 1984 movie, which is fine with me.

 

And what Ann Coulter wannabe came up with that little gem?

 

I have read that twice, thought about it, and the best description I can come up with is the Dorothy Parker quote, "There's no there there. "
Every time I thought he was saying something I could get a grip on he would dance off in a different direction or go all widdershins.
He does toss in some cute quotable lines and makes a mean buzzword but damn that was a Swamp of syllables trying to be an article.

 

I hate dating. Get involved with someone, have a few good weeks, suddenly communication drops off and he doesn't know if he wants me to come with him to a show we'd been planning on for a couple weeks already. I have no idea what I did wrong or why this is happening, but I know it hurts my feelings to not have someone be straightforward with me.

 

I know this is probably the most clichéd advice in the world.
I also understand your feelings have been hurt and you have every right to feel that way.
I'm sorry he did that to you but you know what fuck him.

You are a catch, pretty, smart, funny, talented.
He's an idiot.
You were lucky and will get someone great.

Thanks. I know all this, but it still feels pretty awful to get attached to someone who seems like quite a catch (and who you seem to mesh with pretty well) and then have it just.. vanish. For no apparent reason. THIS IS ME VENTING.
