    My dsl has been cutting off and on a lot lately, especially when it rains. The phone guy finally came and found that the lines had been squished (my term) somehow in the field next to my property.
    He couldn't run a new line himself, so I have to wait a week before someone can come run a new one.
    I at least now know what the problem is.

    My Linux system is doing a far better job of getting the work done I am attempting to do than the faster Win Vista desktop. My desktop is very likely bogged down - especially compared to the fresh installation of Ubuntu - but that still doesn't surprise me .
    ...Starting to think my desktop could use the "Bullet to the brain" fix that XP needed every six months or so, but I really don't feel like re-installing on this thing. Especially with 32 bit Vista.
