This was inspired by a post in the recent thread about public nudity in the 21st century. @Borla was kind enough to provide the perfect picture in a thread I had never seen until the search I just did within the past half hour.

Even mundane tasks, like fixing and upgrading a number of elements on my computer, are made so much better by sitting next my husband while he does them.

 

To celebrate this day of our great nation's birth, I'm curled up in bed drinking hard cider and marathoning The Simpsons.

My buddy's fiance has a little sister in the same band class as my niece.
Tonight we were discussing their trip to D.C. last month, and she mentioned they had had to evacuate one of the buildings the class was visiting because one of the chaperones forgot a backpack in the kitchen.
She said they had evacuated the surrounding block, too, and then once they got the all clear and the okay to proceed with normal business, the class wasn't invited back inside.

iirc, she said it was The Capitol building, but I don't see what they would be doing in the kitchen.

I googled it, but I couldn't find anything about it, and I haven't talked to my niece since she's been back.
It would be a crazy and memorable thing to happen on a school trip if it's true.

Today I learned that Prague has both a Museum of Medieval Torture Devices and a Museum of Sex Machines....

 

Do they save space and house them both in the same building? That might fall under the same exhibits in this case.

 

Nope. Separate building. There's just too much ground to cover, I guess.

Not that I have anything against multitasking devices, mind you.

 

That reminds me....goes to check the the door to the "special section" of the basement, have to make sure the sound-proofing equipment is still intact.

 

I keep seeing the not-very-newsworthy story about Jessica Simpson getting married on the facebook headlines thing and I have to ask - Why bother? They have been co-habituating for what four years now? (peeked at one of the articles) They also have two kids together, this step seems unnecessary if they are willing to have that arrangement.
