    Just interviewed as a Wiki SME for Lockheed at the SSA.
    It would be interesting. We'll see.

    Don't like the project anymore, too chaotic.
    I dislike environs in which they are like long-time alcoholics.
    They are aware they're alcoholics, they want to fix their alcoholism, they ask for help with their alcoholism
    but the problem is, they're still alcoholics...they are a part of the problem. And it depends on their mood and capability to cooperate.

    They've got a solution, I've given it to them.
    Damn issue has lasted 15 years...with many trying their hand at it. (including the CIO)
    But trying to get them to stop kicking & screaming, hiding and hemming & hawing is a PITA.
    Ask for my help again when you're ready to do something about it.

    But the market is good, so there are tons of options to move to ...to get away from insanity.
    And the rates have gone up 10-20%, so I may get a raise out of it.

    Alrighty then, it only costs $25 to setup an Assumed Business Name in the grand state of Idaho. Should not be too long before I have an actual business. :) Making livable money/side money is the bigger question, but I do at least have a gig later this month.

    Just glanced at the Philosophy/Politics/Economics section and it looks quite interesting. Apparently you can view it as a guest not logged in but not when actively logged in without being on the access list. Could a Mod type add me to that list? Would give me a whole section to explore.

    I just got back from beers with @baraka_guru, @arkana, and @kramus. We were discussing life and the feasibility of revolutionary figureheads arising in a post-national society.

    Even when we're drinking we're pretty nerdy.

    Sadly I had to duck out early. But I had a good time and I look forward to doing it again soon.
