Bit confused, RE: enemadaddy post

    I don't think that's true. During colonoscopies the doctor will pump a bunch of air into your colon to make it easier to see. You just fart it all out later.

    That said, as someone with chronic gastrointestinal illness I've had my fair share of enemas. I can say that there was never anything even slightly erotic to it. I can think of much better ways to get off.

    Pumping air is standard procedure with a barium enema (colon x-ray), and it's excrutiatingly painful.

    A colonoscopy (camera in the colon) has not involved any air pumping, in my experience.

    I think they do it differently depending on what they're looking at. I've had air pumped into my colon and the associated massive expellations of air after the procedure is done. But they also usually give me a big dose of sedative so I don't really know or care how uncomfortable it is.
