We were posting at the same time. I started a thread in hopes of hearing from the folks familiar with her works.

Okay, so apparently I need a working version of Windows before I can install Windows to have a working version.

It's a chicken and egg sort of thing.

My head hurts. I'm tired of having to take something for it. I need my magnesium. Putting it on "the list".

They're roofing my apartment building today. It's creepy as fuck to hear the roofers talking right outside my door. They're so loud it's as if they're in the room with me. I've got all the doors and windows locked.

    No, they don't.

There are about 150,000 deaths per day, worldwide.

I fucking hate the local industry in which I work. It's full of scum-sucking, lying, greedy sons of bitches who care nothing about loyalty, decency or even think about potential ramifications for their stupid choices and alliances.

    Fuck all of them.

  7. Sigh. Annoying co-worker was gone for a week on vacation.

Nothing like changing a flat tire on the side of the highway while in dress slacks.

I mean the really good people who contribute to society in a way that is long lasting, in the public eye.
Or in pediatric hospice. Learned that one the hard way.

The good news is I was able to limp the spare into Discount Tire. The bad news is that a replacement tire to match is over a week out. So if I prefer to go home sometime in the next week, I have to buy four new tires (AWD vehicle, will jack up the drive train if all four don't match).

Looks like my expense report this week is going to be about $800 heavier than normal.

Did you throw your tire through the window like in the commercial?? You show em who's boss, fancy pants!

    I am NOT 'fancy pants'!

    *tantrum*

I was actually very polite to the guys at the tire store. It wasn't their fault, no use in being cranky to them.

Ex-landlord is getting passive aggressive about the deposit money. Fuck this shit. I really don't think it's fair that he got our deposit without doing a walkthrough. If I had more money, I'd be talking to a lawyer.

Small claims? Filing fees for that are usually under $100, no lawyers needed.

We're not sure it's worth the effort. They are giving us back 45% of our deposit, and we understand that some of it should be kept for wear and tear. Our issue is that the guy has no idea what our wear and tear looks like.

    Sorry, that's bullshit.

Wear and tear is normal use. A deposit should not be about that. A deposit is about making sure you don't skip out on the rent and dealing with major damage (eg smashed fixtures, windows, etc.). Wear and tear is the cost of doing business and should not be your responsibility.
