    At 23, I was still growing up, still oblivious. (or more oblivious than I am now, at least)
    But I was physically decent, that was when I was living martial arts. 24/7/365 for a few years.
    Money wasn't important, just living the dream.

    I'm lucky I was in shape, because I had NO idea how to deal with women back then.
    Also competing with all those Marines from Camp Pendleton was a bitch in the dating market.

    No such thing as online dating back then.
    Still just bars & clubs...maybe the mall...perhaps the rock concerts.

    Oh wow. At 23/24 my life was amazingly great. I was naive and in love and thought it would be forever. What a great feeling - until it wasn't.

    So much more cynical now. And that was a long time ago.

    Young love, awesome and awful all rolled up into one frightening package!

    In all fairness, I must confess. When I was 24, I was deeply involved in a pretty torrid relationship with a 33-year old woman. However, I really was 24, and she really was 33. There were complicating factors, but it didn't stop us, as consenting adults.

    Sigh.....just had an awesome flashback
