The best way to deal with Man Flu is to just 'get on with it'
FALSE - Extensive research has proven that the only way to combat the crippling effects of Man Flu is complete withdrawal to the sofa and uninterrupted mollycoddling by the girlfriend / wife.

 

I know this is American politics but as a young man I asked an old radical why the Democrats seemed to consistently screw up what seemed like easy wins.
She shook her head and said "Liberals eat their young."

I didn't understand that until I'd watched politics for long enough.

 

Goddamnit, I just love it when I order something and the shipping update says it'll arrive the day after I leave for work.

This is the only time I think about buying things from brick and mortar stores.

 

It's not so much that they don't turn out liberal kids, it's that they tend to make it very hard for those kids to inherit any kind of political system.
It's more a political operative observation.

 

I find it funny that "liberals" think all "conservatives" are against equal marriage rights and pro-Jesus and whatever else is absolutely absurd in 2014.

Given the (weird) mix of people in Canada--people who want Canada to part of France, people who want Canada to be part of the UK, people who want to live in the wild and be left alone, and the minority of relatively normal people--I don't see how y'all manage to have a functional government. Of course functional is a subjective term.

Man whining is the worst. When I get sick, I go into the "leave me alone, seriously, if I need something I'll ask for it" mode.

I'm gonna lose my shit today. My mailbox is full despite dumping it 2 hours ago. No one at tech support is answering and all of my incoming mail is bouncing. Beyond pissed!!!!

I had a job with a company that was a decade ahead of everyone else when it came to computers and related products. One of the IT guys was great with computers, but lousy with people. He used to tell people to hit the "defrost' key.

 

In my case, I like the withdrawal part. Otherwise I prefer to be left the fuck alone. In our house it's the wife that require mollycoddling.

 

Da fuck, United? You started texting me at 4:40 in the morning to let me know that my gate had been assigned. Then for all three changes (one over). It doesn't leave until 8. Crimony fuck.
That's as creepy as the dude that asked me this morning, as I was blearily looking for hot tea shortly after United woke me up, if my boyfriend was here with me so he could warm me up. This place is crazy.

 

I think this is what is called, The pot calling the kettle black.

Governance happens just fine in Canada. The issue we have currently (and usually) is who gets to be in charge.
