Well, you did start Dork-Off lo those many moons ago, and we put up a good showing for a while... but then we got completely dominated by @MeltedMetalGlob. We might just have to up our game, in a major way.

 

You don't like the way I posted? I simply mirrored the kind of attitude you seem to enjoy throwing all over this board.

I missed that thread, but I can believe @MeltedMetalGlob would win, considering he walks around in full "1930's Detective" period-dress with a Vortex Manipulator on his wrist. /Envy.

Maximum pwnage. Also, until a recent post alerted me to his apparent gender, I was convinced (mostly due to this thread) that @the_jazz was a histrionic soccer-mom. Imagine my shock.

 

Thing is, he's not a bad guy. He's not as cool as Borla (who is?) but he's certainly more valuable than a lot of folks on discussion forums.

And he's been at this site for a long, long time. The current kerfuffle is not an example of past performance. Some people just rub each other the wrong way.

We've had a lot of weird archrivalries over the years. Jazz and Fangirl. Dave Orion and women. StrangeFamous and Walt. Telekinetic's penis and the mods. AceVentura and the liberal politics crew. Zeraph and everybody.

Hell, it's how I ended up with my current signature. It's a constant reminder that I shouldn't take this place too seriously (since I'm really bad at intelligent debates) lest some real world gritty urban artiste show up and remind it's juzz teh intarblogz.

And what does any of this have to do with this thread? Everything.

Ironically, I just saw an actual picture of Borla for the first time today, and although he is better-looking IRL than the angry-looking mustache-man in his avatar, he actually does have a rather large head. All the more handsome manliness to love, though. Oh shit - I think it just got a little bigger!
