So sorry, @Tully Mars. That was one of my biggest fears while I was on the other side of the world - that one of my creatures or humans would get sick and I would be helpless to do anything. I'm sure you gave him a good life.

Thank to all for the kind words and thoughts. Bandit came to my family from a family in chaos. The parents were divorcing and the father demand the dog be "gone by morning or I'll shoot him... in front of the kids." My daughter brought him home in the spring of 2001 with the agreement he only stay a couple weeks, three tops. I told her at the time "Bandit's our dog now, he won't be leaving anytime soon if ever." My daughter friends did in fact return for Bandit... three years later. I told them "he's our dog now but you're welcome to visit." Since joining our family he never had a bad day. One of the happiest and easy going dogs I ever met. I can't say I'm fine with his passing but I know he had a good life and ever reasonable measure to keep him happy and comfortable in his final months, weeks and days was taken. We hand fed him and he had a "doggie walker" wheel chair for his last six months. His muscles had given out before his spirit. Even in the wheel chair and being carried around he spent all day most days with a big smile. Sadly in the past two to three days his organs began to fail and it was simply time. He passed in his sleep in my arms. He will be sorely missed but I rest well knowing all that could be done was and I firmly believe he was comfortable right up to the end.

Again, thanks to all for the kind words.

Tully, I'm sorry to hear about Bandit.
    Pets are family.

I have a very intelligent (in book learning) SIL who doesn't know how & when to choose her battles career-wise; she wouldn't last a month in the military. And she has made some extremely questionable decisions--a gross understatement--in her personal life. As for racist relatives, well, let's just say I have quite a few.

    ---------------------------------------------------

Re Rockets verses Trail Blazers...the Rockets basically doomed themselves by not being prepared in game one, and not making the necessary adjustments in game two. The Blazers shouln't be praised, they let them back into the series by not taking care of business.

There two ways to view the series.
Positive--Two well matched teams played six hard fought games.
Negative--A very talented team (choose one) didn't take care of business when they should've & could've.

Lego Legos? Or an animal named Lego?

@tullymars I'm so sorry. It's truly heart breaking to let go of our furry friends. Try to remember the great life he had because of you.

    It's Lego.

Lego is a brand name. Lego bricks are the things.

We had to use them as part of a training class. Two days of building little Lego trucks.
