    Called support and they said all I can do is buy another one, then get my money back tomorrow.
    Of course, it started raining so riding my bike back to the store is totally annoying.

    Kind of a bitching, non-bitching post...

    My bank stopped payments from my debit card because they received a $0 ping from Amazon late last month, and tried to call me using a phone number from when I was a kid.

    I ordered a couple of things from Amazon last Friday (which seemingly, at the time, worked), then tried paying a couple of utilities by internet yesterday and was informed there was something wrong with the card.

    The bank said that there had been a few cases of fraud going through Amazon and they were worried this was one of them.

    I'm glad they were looking out for me, but I know they should have had up to date contact info for me, because I've moved at least 3 times since using that ph# as a kid.

    Had a nice "clear" meeting with the Project Management Officer today.

    Recap - Meeting triggered by her being surprised that I was having a meeting with CIO ("her boss", but not really)
    Even though I asked permission from supervisor (she wasn't available), asked supervisor if I was limited in anything to be said or asked. ("not at all")
    AND noted it to her a month before-hand twice. (oh yes, supervisor is now "concerned" about meeting...and pissed I didn't tell her???)
    Now...what is the meeting about?? what was said?? You'll get no good info from him...

    Now, in this meeting today...
    You're open to talk to anyone and ask anything...we're all on the same page. (Avoid talking with Execs, make sure we are talking with you)
    We understand that there are no specs and there is no background info and no one agrees on anything. (But we need detailed documentation)
    We understand that you haven't even really started discussing a potential solution. (But we need a summary presentation and a schedule)
    We understand that no one has time to talk with you or confirm your analysis (But we need you to put out something that affects everyone)
    We understand that you're talking with mostly lay-people for your project (But we need everything put out in detailed format)
    We understand that you have moved the project farther & faster than ever before in years "light-years ahead" (But...)
    We like that everyone is still coming to your meetings...that's a good sign. (??? :confused: They're used to people stopping coming to meetings...so I'm atypical)
    And so on...

    Well, at least they're happy. (until you get their shotgun email statements from the sidelines, every once in a blue moon)
    But they're happy. :rolleyes:

    You gotta love people.

    But hey, at least I friggin' got to finally spend time with her and find out what she wants...what she doesn't
    and she heard it from my mouth...not from others who're not talking to me...but going and talking to her.
    Fortunately, I'm one to get something from nothing...and get clarity from unclear terms.

    But I need it beforehand...or during...not after the fact.
    I'm good, but not THAT good.
    They're not paying enough for psychic powers. ;)

    No, but I've considered bribery. The only catch is that I'd take money out of our joint account, so essentially I'd be paying her with her own money. Over and over again.With the same $20.
