Motherfucker, please. Don't congratulate me. The game isn't over yet.

Way to jinx the whole process. Good thing you're not a day trader.

Lesson to be learned: Never get excited when suits are excited.

Just wait until I post Molly's summer do. She was a knotty girl this winter, I picked her up from the doggie beauty parlor on Sat and she looks like a flippin' poodle.

I've tried everything, and the government won't take my money. How weird is that? What a waste of time.

EDIT: What's this? Writing a cheque? Travelling 40 minutes to a tax office? Dropping it in an external dropbox? What is this, 1994?

It's difficult to get up at 5:30 when Benadryl is involved. Fuck you, allergies.

I woke up "early"*--caught exactly one glimpse of the sun--then it was gone for the day. I am sick of wind and rain. The gardens like the rain, tho.
*Went to bed at 3:45 a.m. Got up every two hours for the next 6, then got up for the day at 12:30 p.m. This is how I normally roll (without use of sleep agents and with a bedtime dose of a rainbow of heart failure drugs).

The only day I have to leave the apartment, and it's the most miserable day of the month: pouring rain, gusts of wind.

I wrecked our new umbrella, and I got soaked just the same.

All because the government couldn't accept an electronic payment.

It's a good thing I've been stupid, crazy busy this month. I'm going to have to give all the money to the government.

Am I ever going to not feel awful?

Yes. You'll move from awful to shitty, into crappy, numb, okay, "better than last week," and eventually into "not awful" and "almost okay."

So far this week I've had individual therapy (he doesn't think I need it - I kinda do), grief support group and today I get the pleasure of seeing a psychiatrist. I mostly made the appointments to get in the system in case I need something down the road. I hate doctors, so this was a huge self-care step for me. I should put that in little victories.

Oh hey! It's way cheaper to make a late payment to the government than it is to pay with a credit card!

A psychiatrist might be not as necessary as the therapy. If you think you need support sessions, and you can identify goals, the thp needs to honor that. Or transfer you. A good CBT practitioner is going to explore the grief, the motivation for therapy, and encourage resilience.

    *sigh*
It was bound to happen...I just stirred up a hornet's nest just from having a meeting with a certain director.
And even though I made sure it was fine...and mentioned it to everyone.
Because one person forgot what I was doing...was shocked that I was having it (especially since she couldn't get a meeting with him)
Now, there is a "concern" with it...even though it already happened.

Oh woe the human who gets in the way of the gods playing games...

    Let's play 'Guess the outcome?'

    It is 40-some degrees outside.
You open the sliding glass door for fresh air in the morning.
You leave the furnace set to kick on at 64*.
    You leave for the day.

    Anyone?

If you guessed 'Irritated your husband because he's asked you about five times this spring to turn off the furnace if you want to leave the door wide open, you are correct!'

    What do they win Johnny?

I don't want to hear it, Canada. I just gave Uncle Sam enough money to buy a brand new car. And I don't even get healthcare for it!

Pull up a pic of your daughter on your phone. That'll answer the question for you. ;)

    Man, I don't have a kid.

    What keeps me going?

    Oh, yeah...

    Mmm.

    ...

Whenever a sales person tells you, "Hey, I'll call you back," it means you'll have to call them the next day.

I really love how you can punctuate entire life processes by the fact that only one thing gets done per 4 hours of an 8 hour business day.
