The Complaining and Bitching Thread

As you work on that, I'll be here regretting that I went with option A.

 

Holy headache.
I'm fairly sure its related to the massive amount of tree sperm in the air.
But, I'm running a low-grade fever for some reason.
I absolutely CANNOT be sick next week or it will ruin everything.
But, holy fucking brain explosion. I hope yoga doesn't cause an aneurysm.

 

Fuck-it-all.
Just when things get calm for 24 hrs., I find that my father is again, sick.
And the racist* retired nurse who is stuck on him, has kidnapped him and taken him to her house. Where he has no internet. Which is the only way I can communicate with him as he is deaf-ish and won't get hearing aids.
His vitals are great but he has been stuck inside this winter and the severe edema has returned to both legs. Because his knees are shot from blowing them out as a footballer, he cannot wrap them tightly to encourage reduction of the edema.
Fuck-it-all.

*Obs. we don't get along. He barely puts up with her.

Bad enough to have him sick much less to have to go through the SO.
Don't let it drive you crazy, you can only do so much.

He lost his wife of 55 years in 2011.
At age 83, having refused to move closer to his immediate family (my bro and me) Dad really wishes still--to join my mom. I finally understand and more importantly, respect that but the overbearing nurse does not.

Senior design presentation #4, exam, and monster program, all done. I think I can sleep now.

Oh, wait, nope, got lots of catch-up work to do.

Also, the interview that I was hoping was the second (and final) interview was just another "get to know you" interview with the director of IT with the company. The actual technical interview won't be for another week or so.
C'MON, MAN, JUST HIRE ME ALREADY.

I'm better today as I finally spoke to my dad on the phone. She has blocked me out saying she lost my email and phone #...<eyeroll>.
I'm all for my dad getting relief through counseling or maybe going on anti-depressants for awhile but he'll hear none of that. I just want him to be out of emotional pain. Now that I've stopped pressuring him (begging, pleading, etc.) he opens up more about his grief and it is so very sad.
Oh, well. Hoping for the best.

 

The best part about being a responsible middle class citizen is paying enough in taxes every year to buy a new car but not making enough to trade up from your decade-old hatchback.

 

So far between school and the bookstore, I've worked 48.5 hours this week. It's only Thursday. I'm burned out.

 

Thursday night....just who do I have to fuck to get this week over with so I can start my weekend?

DaddySquirrel is out of town for work. He'll be home Saturday evening and then off again for another week on Monday morning.

Sandra and I are capable of taking care of ourselves. We just miss him as he is the source of comic relief.
