June 25th is my 15 th wedding anniversary. Hard to believe that my wife has put up with me for so many years. I want to do something special but not sure what to do. Something that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Plus I'm not very romantic.
What did you do for your meaningful anniversary? Whatever they might be an anniversary for.
    Any suggestions?

    Do you cook?
Would she like a nice evening with you catering to her?
Or for that matter, hiring a cleaning company to come in and do the house from top to bottom while you go out to dinner might be considered pretty romantic.

I never cooked early on like I do now.

For one of our early anniversaries I got off work early and planned out an entire fancy meal without her suspecting it. She came home, dinner was almost ready, flowers on the table, music playing, she literally started crying.

It wasn't expensive, but it meant a lot to her because it took thought and effort.

Our anniversary is at the end of August, so we usually go camping. This year I spent my anniversary in inservice. That is likely to be my future.

We just make sure it's quality time spent together. This year, since we couldn't get away, we went for a fancy dinner.

The best was the anniversary where I bust my knee cap open and spent the day high on drugs.

Would she like a night out and maybe get a little dressy?

Cowgirls, The Musical, will be in Atlanta and its not too pricey ($30/ticket). I saw it years ago and it was a fun night!
    15 years is pretty special.

How are you at massage? Man, I would kill for a full body massage on my anniversary. As a lead in to sexy time, too. :)

My husband checked out a bunch of books one year from the library and taught himself to give a great massage as my Valentine's Day present. It was fabulous, and now he has an awesome skill.

I'm going to throw out a bunch of ideas. Any combination of these might be nice.

    • Clean the house from top to bottom (or hire someone to do it for you).
    • Place 15 long-stem roses as a centrepiece in a prominent location. (Bonus points for using her favourite flower instead.)
    • Dinner at the highest quality restaurant you can find that serves her favourite food. (Bonus points for instead learning to make her favourite dish and serving it at home.)
    • A handwritten letter listing 15 things you love about her. (This could include certain memories you share, etc.)
    • A picnic lunch. (The simpler things in life are often grossly underrated until you do them.)
    • Some kind of event at a surprise location: where you first met. (This may not work, depending on where you first met. Consider other ideas related to where you first met, even if it's simply thematic.)
    • A gift certificate for dancing lessons (or some other service, where the two of you can bond while learning a skill/art).

Romance is all about making a special effort. Whatever you choose to do, make sure that it's all about the two of you. Nothing is more romantic than letting your lady know that she's the center of your universe. Make her the centerpiece of whatever you do, regardless of how big or small the event. She'll love you for it.

Watches are a traditional 15th anniversary gift, so if you could work in something related to time or clocks, it would be symbolic. Something about representing the time spent together is the symbolism, I think. Crystal is the symbol for that year, too. But I don't have any ideas there, ha ha.

The circumstances of how we got together happened over a certain period of time, over long distance, and not as a yea-or-nay sort of proposition. We also have never celebrated anything like an anniversary.

We celebrate the first day we met, April 11, and now will have our second wedding anniversary on August 20.

We don't get too wrapped up in making anniversaries romantic. Whatever we do tends to be practical.

Try to think of something that she used to enjoy, but has gotten pushed to the side over the years.

Did she enjoy live music, maybe had some favorite local bands, enjoyed dancing?

Our anniversaries are two days apart, so it turns into an anniversarypalooza.

We live sheltered lives. We really don't get out much. But everything is sounding good so far. She loves Italian food and naps. Lol
