Good news--We spent over three hours clearing out some unecessary clutter out of the kitchen cabinets. We have a narrow gallery kitchen, but we have lots of storage space, which we've filled up with all kinds of crap over the years.

Good news/bad news--My wife decided to put down new contact paper while the shelves were clear. It slowed us down at first, but we got into a rhythm after a while. The contact paper needed to be replaced.

Bad news--My wife started pulling things out of the To Be Donated boxes that I had filled. I agreed to keep some items, stood firm on getting rid of other items.

 

Please send positive karma thoughts that I don't bust open Frankenhand (or my head) in yoga tonight.

 

I'm sending a massive wave of positive vibes your way, @noodle. If you lived any closer, they'd knock you over.

 

With tomato soup please!

 

We'll make homemade tomato soup sometimes, and pair it with grilled cheese sandwiches.

I have a killer tomato florentine soup recipe somewhere. Fresh tomatoes, spinach, basil, oregano, garlic, and just a touch of parm, if you want to add it.

In other news, HOORAY for medical tape! I sooooo needed that tonight.

Nope. But, I did totally gross out the Crossfit owner by showing him Frankenhand and describing how it happened.
He concurred with the ARNP that gave me "minimal movement clearance" yesterday and said, "Yeah, don't come back now."
I swear I saw a grown man shudder and his balls shrink.
Funny thing is, though, he knows the ER doc that stitched me up (he works out at the box) and the doc never ratted on me.

 

You should tell everyone that it's a scar from a knife fight and that you tussled cause you didn't like the way the other guy looked at you.

And no one fucks with @noodle after that...

I'm always looking for a bright side.....
