The Complaining and Bitching Thread

Yup. It wasn't as bad as it could have been. I ran out of gloves after cooking in the morning and doing the cat box. The rest are in my car, as I have a TDI and diesel never comes off your skin. It was icy and pouring again, so I decided to wing it. Not my best idea today... But, I did properly core a cabbage today without damaging myself further.

 

I was cringing just thinking about it. I'm beginning to think that you need adult supervision, my dear @noodle. You're a danger to yourself.

I shudder to think what'll happen next. Try to stay in one piece....or at least one major piece.

Virus + no sleep = cranky hamster

 

We were out with some friends watching a football game on TV at a restaurant known for their spicy wings. As the evening went on and the beer flowed, trips to the restroom became more frequent. Several of the guys started looking a little uncomfortable.

 

Ralphie is not having a good day....

This now has me thinking about ice cubes.

My bed is too warm and inviting to make me want to get up and do anything else.

 

Leaving my university just in time for them to start instituting a $900 per semester "differential tuition" for my major.
It does make sense, because we use a shit-ton of electricity for all of that computery magic that we do. Just kind of sad that they're *still* trying to grab more money from their students, despite being the most expensive public university in Michigan (and despite the President of the university making more money in a month than I have made in my entire working career so far)

He's not. Tech passed U of M recently as having higher per credit hour tuition

 

There really is no pleasing myself. I go into work for half a day, then come home to rest up with this virus. Then I spend the afternoon ansty and restless because I'm not getting anything done......sheesh...

 

I went to a state university, U of Houston Central Campus, and there were legislative limits on how much tuition could cost, increases had to voted on (don't know if that's still the case). The state univeristies got around it by adding a slew of misc fees. One of the most obscene ones at UH was the student center fee, basically a charge for using the services available at the student center. Those "services" were few, and all of the shop space was leased to private companies. If you were broke and hoping for a cheap meal on campus, forget it. UH was, & still is, mostly a commuter school, a very small percentage of students live on campus, or even near the campus.

 

Is this still complaining and bitching?
Well, I am bitching about the traffic, and the lack of coordination of traffic lights, and the terrible drivers here in Fort Lauderdale, then again I was riding around with the top down in the sun....(oops) ........................I did my time in NYC 60 years, before retiring and moving here, still.
