    Agreed. And, IMO, a great curse to be blessed with - to stand by what's important, to commit to sharing and developing it, and to revel in the process!

    My angle here is that sooner or later I DO speak my 'truth' no matter how difficult.
    But .... What I'm UNable to do is to speak it SOONER. At worst, the anxiety and agonizing I go through can screw up my health and turn me into a recluse.

    I've been trained to speak my truth. One of the aspects of learning to be a teacher is also learning to be an advocate. That bleeds over into other things as well. I try to do so in a thoughtful, deliberative way, especially when dealing with teenagers.
