Pointless Announcements

It is a shame that the ugly word pasta (paste) has almost completely replaced the pretty word macaroni.

 

Pasta is the generic word. Macaroni is just one type of pasta.

Ah, the food of my people...

 

It probably belongs in Complaining and Bitching, but it bothers me that my wife calls any type of pasta with tomato sauce spaghetti.

 

I'm having sweet potato "noodle" with red sauce I made from the leftover Muir Glen tomato-basil sauce, hot italian turkey sausage, garlic and mushrooms.
It's good enough.

 

The cold temperatures and seemingly endless snowfalls this winter has led me to one inescapable conclusion: There is no God.

Or alternately, if a Supreme Being exists, He surely doth hate us with the white-hot intensity of a million suns...

 

What is this cold and snowfall that you speak of?

 

You have been away from Canada too long....
or, maybe, just long enough

 

I wandered around outside in the frigid temperatures for a few hours, looking at people carving statues out of snow.
I got a free cup of chili and bought a deep fried snickers.
I got to see a bunch of friends that I haven't seen in months.
I made some new friends.
I avoided frostbite.
I got super drunk.

Winter Carnival 2014 all nighter: success.

 

I'm hungry, think I'll go find some meat and veggies...

 

Note for anyone avoiding dairy: it turns out that applesauce makes a wonderful substitute for milk on breakfast cereal.

 

I might invest in a monthly subscription of organic, all natural snacks delivered to my door for $10/month (on sale for $5 in Feb) at least for a month or two to check it out.

Plus a meal going to a hungry child.
