I don't think that there is anything wrong with review of the scoring plays. Normally after a score, the game goes to commercials for a few minutes anyway before the kickoff. I'd rather that game take a few minutes longer, and not have a team win or lose as the result of a score that really wasn't a score.

That commercial delay still exists, but the replay of a touchdown delays the extra point attempt. Fortunately, I usually watch with my TiVo and start watching at least a half-hour after kickoff, so I can skip commercials and inordinate delays.

Anyone think that the new kickoff rule, might make for some interesting onside kicks.

Obviously for the majority of kickoffs, it will be boring, but for onside kicks, this might make it a little more interesting potentially in the final minute of the game.

  7. How is everyone's first week of regular season going? Are any of you in pools? My Buddy S-O is in a few pools and he is VERY involved. Granted, he could win a lot of money if he is the last man standing.

The Bengals won and the Steelers lost, even though it was the Ravens who won...lesser of two evils I suppose. It was a good Sunday for me. It's still too soon to place bets on the season and I am not confident in my Bengals. I foresee trouble when they play stronger opponents. I honestly didn't think they'd beat the Browns.

Will any of you get to any games this season? The Bengals are coming to Seattle, so I am going to that game. My brother is even planning on coming out to visit me and go to that game even though he has disowned the Bengals.

I haven't really followed football since New Orleans won the Super Bowl, but of course I'm still rooting for The Cowboys.
I'm hoping they bring Staubach out of retirement.

Wow, Brady is insane tonight. 500 yards and still going with a couple minutes left.

I wish I could've switched OFF Oakland v. Denver. What an embarrassment. Our offensive and defensive lines appear to have simply not shown up to play. Was very disappointing.

If only he had connected on that last pass for a first down, he'd probably have been the 522 league record. Oh well. PATS!

I hate Brady even more now.

Sorry but quarterbacks just shouldn't make commericals trying to act tough while wearing Uggs.

These first few games have been insane as far as yardage allowed. The defenses have been slack to say the least.

I would have thought that the defenses would be better prepared than the offenses with the truncated preseason and practices. Shows you how much I know, I guess.

Miami should have a top 5 defense and they got toasted. However, the Pats need to look at their defense as well because two goal line scores would have changed the game (stupid play calls IMO) and the Pats let a pretty shitty QB pass for over 400. I love Miami but they just can't find that rhythm.

I'm just glad I got to see the Steelers get a beat down.
