Food What's For Dinner Tonight?

Leftover from Saturday night's dinner party: Honey Mustard Curried Chicken with rice.

 

We are having Spaghetti with homemade Italian Meatballs and three cheese Texas Toast.
I haven't decided what to drink with that yet. Probably treat myself to a Pepsi (I allow myself one/week as a treat)
I gave up carbonated beverages several years ago and my gastrointestinal system frequently thanks me.

 

For folks who enjoy cooking, these dishes must be seen to be believed.

veal sweetbreads with mushrooms in a white wine and cream sauce

 

So....Spam & lima beans may not be.....all that bad..... ?
But does anyone else think the banana candle looks like an attempt at some sort of sex appliance gone awry?

 

When was the last time anyone here ate Spam?

 

I've finally purged all memory of that event, so many years ago.

 

It's been a fucking long day, so I'm thinking a stop at Qdoba on the way home is a necessity.

 

Fried chicken and sweet corn. Nice bit of comfort food on the menu tonight

 

I made poblano peppers stuffed with grass fed ground beef sautéed with Vidalia, mushrooms, garlic, greens onion tops, a little tomato, chili powder, cumin, oregano, salt and pepper.
I baked the poblano for 10m first, then stuck them back in for 24m after I stuffed them, and it was perfect. Topped with fresh cilantro and the amazing salsa I'm addicted to that is locally made by some little old lady.
Hubs loved it. Paleo fucking rocks. I feel so much better after I eat a meal with no grains or potatoes. Love it.

 

Flat iron steak w/ peppercorn sauce. Grilled portobello cap stuffed with parmesan and crimni. Roasted butternut squash risotto.
Damn, I wish I could take credit for that. We went to Longhorn Steakhouse.
