    Hi.

As I read the thread, I see clear, unambiguous advice, based on knowledge and experience from a wide range of people.

I see reasons for this advice and I see support and encouragement to you.

There are also some jokes and horseplay.

I'm sorry you are miffed by the fooling, it's a side effect of this being a robust and open forum.

No matter how long this thread lasts, the advice won't change.

    1. Any sexual contact has consequences.
    2. It's very hard to get a woman pregnant without measurable amounts of liquid semen applied onto or into her genitals, but it's a big world, and you can't rule the possibility out.
    3. Test her urine, test first thing in the morning, test two to three weeks after the incident, then test again after a week.
    4. Reread point 1 above, and plan accordingly. It's perfectly acceptable for your plan to include taking no precautions, just make sure you're ready to accept your parental responsibility.
    5. Anyone asking the internet if the can get their girlfriend pregnant by fingering demonstrably isn't ready.
    6. Not being ready won't make you a bad parent. Being a dick will.

Yep. There are only so many times we can repeat the same thing (go to the doctor) before we get bored and want to talk about something else. :)

  4. The advice is wash your hands - and as a former bar maid - my bowl of nuts stayed at the back of the bar.

Welcome to TFP. Do you prefer peanuts or pretzels?

But seriously, it looks like your girlfriend isn't pregnant and has some sort of infection that's producing discharge. She should follow doctor's orders until it clears up and if it happens again soon it may be a sign that she's susceptible to infections and she should mention it to her Ob/Gyn because there are preventative treatments available. If you two plan to continue to be sexually active, use condoms every time, get tested for STIs now if you're in an exclusive relationship, and continue using condoms (male or female variety) every time for an absolute minimum of six months, then get tested again (six months is the rule of thumb incubation period for HIV before it's typically detectable.) At that point you can safely move to a non-barrier method of birth control and stop using condoms whenever the doctor says it's safe to do so. If a condom breaks or you screw up and don't use one, head down to the pharmacy and get Plan B for her ASAP (it's effective up to 3 days later but effectiveness decreases with every passing hour.)

What MSD posted. I'll add use spermicidal jelly along with condoms. Don't use pre-treated condoms, the jelly can iritate your urethra.

    Do not use spermicide!

N9, the most common one irritates the mucosa, and increases transmission of some STIs, and there is very little evidence that it improves protection above that offered by correctly used condoms.

That's news to me, but it's been a couple of decades since we had to worry about condoms and/or spermicidal jelly.

It's relatively new. There was a WHO paper on it in the past five years.

I no longer work in the sexual health arena so I'm working from memory, or I'd cite the exact reference!

It started with Nonoxynol-9 for preventing vaginal acquisition of HIV infection by women from men in 2001.

It sounds as though you might be getting played my friend. The odds of you getting her pregnant by fingering her are astronomical. Even if you would have rubbed your penis after ejaculation and then fingered her. Even if you did that the odds would be astronomical. Men cum inside women all the time and they don't get pregnant. I would bet money in a second that you didn't get her pregnant by fingering her, especially considering that you washed your hand, went out to eat, and did a number of other things for hours before finally doing the deed.

A little update , she took a test again and this time it came out negative earlier when she had taken the test she was under some medication be her gynec for her periods so i'm quite sure that the test was influenced through the medicine but this time it came out to be negative, so this means she aint pregnant right ? but she continues to have this stomach pain , headache and discharge ?why?
P.S:- we actually broke up so i am not really able to convince her to go to the doctor and yeah one more thing from the past few days she has been having fever and normal cough and cold , so i presume all the tiredness that she has been experiencing in these past few days is because of it?

Without tests (that she needs to go to the doctor for) it's hard to correlate symptoms. They could all be related, or she could have the flu and a vaginal infection. It's admirable that you're still concerned for her, but there's really not much you can do. Several of us here (myself included) have some experience in healthcare, but you can't make a diagnosis based on secondhand, or even first-hand accounts on the internet. The best thing you can do for her is to keep encouraging her to go get checked out.

Forgive me, if I'm being judgmental or speaking out of turn, but....you put your fingers inside your then-gf, without making sure your hand was clean first? Seriously? You gave your lady a vaginal infection.

Pseudocyesis can be a vicious condition because the stress of "oh shit, I might be pregnant" can trigger a set of symptoms that pretty convincingly mimic actual pregnancy.
Also this. It might not even have been dirt, you were drinking a beer at the time and beer plus vagina is literally a recipe for a yeast infection.

I agree, you definitely want to have clean hands when handling your women. Fingers have the most bacteria, we all know this already. The flip side to that is that if you aren't actually responsible for her condition, you might want to go ahead and get yourself checked out. Just saying.
