Reddit is, not surprisingly, a huge cesspool of ignorance when the topic of discussion is anywhere near to Islam (or any Abrahamic religion, for that matter).

Sigh.

 

I have this massive craving for some good Fish n' Chips right now, it's ridiculous.

Imma need to raid some British eateries tomorrow.

Driving 500 miles, having a lazy cleaning/homework weekend, and a snowday have not been good for my hygiene. I'm about to go take the most amazing shower ever.

I had ice crystals forming inside my nostrils on my ride to work this morning. Now that is a bizarre sensation.

 

It looked like Bea was having the same issue. Poor pups!

 

I'm an atheist and I think Islam has a bad rap. It's no worse than the other Abrahamic religions, IMO. Which is to say they are people, some good, some bad, and some even worse ( like the tea party ). Mostly good people, as most people are good, amirite?

I had a discussion with my father-in-law ( an ordained Baptist minister ) about Sharia Law. I said it's just as illegal as a Christian version of Sharia law in this country, thanks to the first amendment. I also said that a Christian version would not be much different, IF the fundamentalists were in charge of it. I'm not even sure that Sharia Law is the monstrous thing that they claim it to be, but I'll admit to ignorance. I wish more people would admit to ignorance.
