The game in Green Bay tomorrow is gonna be interesting to say the least. The weather is supposed to be brutal.

    Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks. Lots of tea, fluids, and nose spray.

That kind of cold is flat dangerous if it is as bad as predicted. It makes it worse if you are just sitting still, like the fans will be. Having hunted (i.e. sat still for hours) in single digit temps, it really almost doesn't matter how awesome your cold weather gear is, if it is that cold you are asking for trouble.

I know of a couple people offered discounted tickets and at least one guy who was offered tickets for free, all Green Bay fans, and all declined due to the cold. It'll be interesting to see how many fans are able to handle it. From what I understand part of the new remodeled portion of the stadium has heated concrete, and I know some stadiums have electric heaters mounted in the ceilings of concourses, so maybe there will be some places to go to get some minor relief.

    Thanks @grumpyolddude .

What an incredible game that first one was. Fun to watch. Can't imagine being a die-hard of either team and having to watch it though. :p

Man, that KC-Indy game was vintage Andy Reid. Poor clock management, wasting timeouts at strange times, stupid penalties at crunch time, team comes up flat-footed when they need to rally from behind. We've seen it so many times.

All I can say to Chiefs fans is: get used to this for the next few years. It'll feel ok for the first few years when you're winning in the regular season and you're a playoff contender. The fun will wear off when every year starts to feel like Ground Hog Day.

Right now, I'll bet that Reid is sitting in his after-game presser, repeating that he needs to do a better job of putting his players in position to succeed. Yep...

    Yep, Reid is still Reid.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And the Eagles are still the Eagles.....even without Reid.

At least they kept the cowgirls out of the playoffs.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now the Patriots and the Broncos need to get knocked out of the playoffs.

I'm sick of hearing about Brady and Bill Belecheat.

There is nothing that Poutin' Payton won't endorse. How long before we see a commercial with Payton Manning telling us about Playtex, the Official Tampon of the NFL?

I realize that the NFL rules really favor the offense, but why in hell can't most defensive players tackle anymore? They all want to make a hit, but no one wants to wrap up the ball carrier and bring him down. It's ridiculous.

I just read that yesterday the Texans fired Wade Phillips, which is no surprise since early reports said O'Brien had someone else in mind as DC. This might actually give Wade a shot being a HC again, but not likely. Whatever happens I don't expect Wade to be unemployed for long.

The Titans fired Mike Munchak yesterday Again no surprise, but why the hell did they wait so long?

It'll be interesting to what Lovie Smith is able to do with the Bucs.

    Dear @ZombieSquirrel,

You should probably tell Andy Dalton that his guys are wearing black, so the idea is to NOT throw it to the guys wearing white.

    Much Love,

Wow, another great finish. Three of these games have been decided by a TOTAL of five points.

Colin Kaeprnick had a hell of a great game, 97 yards rushing IIRC. His 3rd down run late in the game to get the 1st down was incredible, it allowed the 49ers to run down the clock & make the FG a chip shot. I saw replay where the ball actually went between the arms of a diving Packers player; he might've been offsides to get into the backfield that quickly.

Was I imagining things, or were the refs in all of the playoff games a bit lenient on holding & interference calls in the secondary?

You weren't imagining. There was a lot of defensive contact allowed.

I didn't see any favortism, it just seemed that the refs allowed a fair amount of bumping & grabbing as long as it wasn't blatant.

Mentioning the Texans, Rick Dennison the seemingly teflon-coated/invisible OC got sacked, as well as many other coaches. Eight was the last total that I read.

Recapping my wild card round playoff picks. I called three of the winners but still lost money thanks to the vig.

    Kansas City @ Indianapolis (-2.5)
This spread got down to -1 before game time. Push.

    New Orleans @ Philadelphia (-2.5)
Feel good about this one. Most of the action was on Philly.

    San Diego @ Cincinnati (-7)
I missed this one badly. Also the only result I got wrong. Andy Dalton is terrible.

San Francisco (-3) @ Green Bay
Another push, although some had this at -2.5 before kickoff. I was still at -3. Damnation.

Some very tasty match ups next week. I'm definitely taking the 49ers again and probably the Saints to cover as well. Denver for sure. Still undecided in the fourth game.
