Probably some, but let's be honest. The Steelers have the hardware. Eagles fans can't touch that. We're now at 53 years and counting since our last NFL championship (there was no Super Bowl at the time).

I'm not a Steelers fan at all, but I respect the hell out of that franchise. We'd love to just have one trophy here.

I'm reading rumors that the Texans are looking at Bill O'Brien as their next HC. That could be a good move for them. I don't follow the Texans closely, but a collapse like that usually means that they quit on their HC. The change might have a jumpstart effect on them.

That's exactly how I feel (figureatively) about the dallas cowgirls, especially loudmouth cowgirls' fans.

I'm sticking with the Eagles as my backup team, but I've got to agree with the 'experts' that the Broncos are most likely the next SB Champ.

  5. I agree. With the Broncos part...not the Eagles. Chip Kelly is a primo dick.

However, the Queen of Delusion in me wants it to be a Bengals v. Seahawks SB with the Bengals winning. Just so I can walk around the PacNW wearing all my Bengals regalia and gloat with much gusto. Also, I'd like to tell Steelers fans (because they're everywhere accept Pittsburgh) to suck my dick.

Figuratively, I hope ZS. Otherwise, don't destroy my illusions, dear.

If what I'm reading about Bill O'Brien is correct, he might do a good job with the Texans. If he was willing to step into the Penn St mess, in the shadow of Paterno (still much admired even if tarnished) no less, he certainly isn't afraid of a challenge.

He certainly had some interesting comments about his time at Penn St. I enjoyed this article:

    My playoff picks:

    Kansas City @ Indianapolis (-2.5)
I think the Chiefs have been overachieving all season long and will lay an egg in the first round. This will probably be close, but Andrew Luck takes over and Indy wins it by a field goal in the closing minutes.

    New Orleans @ Philadelphia (-2.5)
This should be an entertaining, high-scoring game. I like the Saints and the points, even though they've struggled on the road. The Eagles simply have nobody that can cover Jimmy Graham and that will be the deciding factor.

    San Diego @ Cincinnati (-7)
To me this is the biggest no-brainer and probably the only blowout of the first round. The Bengals should dominate the Chargers, who barely scraped by the Chiefs b-team to get into the playoffs.

San Francisco (-3) @ Green Bay
The toughest game to call. The 49ers have good recent history against Green Bay, who seem to be incapable of stopping Colin Kaepernick. I like the 49ers to just barely cover the spread and win by four in an ugly game in bad weather.

  10. Home teams in the AFC. I will be very surprised if otherwise.

On a clear weather day, the visitors would be a mortal lock in the NFC. Philly sucker-punched a dome team in the cold and snow a few weeks back (NO! I am not saying the Lions are anywhere near the team the Saints are. But that was just one more of so many games the Lions lost that they shoulda/coulda won). The frozen tundra is not always a cozy home for the Packers in the playoffs. But the 49ers are not the juggernaut of last season. If the weather comes into play, I say "pick-em." If not, the visitors roll.

  11. Bengals are undefeated at home during regular season this year. I expect them t0 win, but as a Bengals fan, I don't expect much.

The Bengals could be a serious sleeper, but I have to agree, it's best not to expect much.

Bengals-Eagles SB? Hey, it could happen  !

  13. I'm sorry. As much as I would LOVE to see Chip Kelly humiliated by my boys and thus gloat ALL OVER EUGENE, OREGON. He does NOT deserve to go to the SB his first year as an NFL coach. He's a douche. He may be the douchiest coach that ever douched.

I had nothing against the Eagles until he became their coach.

Hey, be careful with the tiny dick comments, you never know who you might be insulting :p). So what's the story with Chip Kelly?

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

O'Brien is spending today meeting with all of the Texans coaches, next week could be very interesting. Hopefully Rick Dennison will lose his job (that's probably a given)......although I do admit that I'm still not sure if he is an idiot, or a good OC.

Ugh, I never thought I'd say this, but I'm coming to like Pete Carroll (I FEEL DIRTY).

He is his players' number one fan and support--that much is clear to me in watching the Seahawks play this season.

Snow just started falling. Supposed to be 6-10" (on top of the 4-6" we got last week) by tomorrow midday. Winds at 30mph and wind chills as low as 50 below.

Plus I'm fighting a flu bug.

Good thing there is football on all weekend. :p

Someone needs to tell the Colts that there is a football game right now.
