Tattoos on girls/women

DAKA DOING VERY NICELY, THANK YOU

I guess I am just an opinionated old dude, but seeing girls on the beach especially (and everywhere else) with anything but a small one somewhere just turn me off.
As far as I am concerned tattoo's are for "old sailors".
Here in S. FL. there is a tattoo shop on every corner...
And, geezzee, fix your f*****g teeth before you spend money on tattoo's YUCKY POO

Hell, seems like everybody born in the last 30 years has at least one tattoo.

I've got a few preferences as far as marks on my partners:

    - No face / neck / hand tattoos
    - No tramp stamps
    - No clichés

My exwife and my previous girlfriend had cool tattoos.

I am ashamed to admit that I had sex with a woman that had the Pittsburgh Steelers logo tattooed on her wrist.

And, yeah, getting work done on your teeth would be a far better investment: you actually use those for something and everybody likes a nice smile.

    ...

Thad said, I don't see much of a difference between tattoos on men or women. Trashy people get trashy tats regardless of their plumbing. I've seen both dudes and chicks with, say, cool sleeve tats and I've seen some pieces on both sexes that look like DIY liver spots. It's all about the person and the story behind the ink, not necessarily whether or not said person has tits. I also tend to think that physical fitness plays a huge role in whether or not tattoos look good: good canvas helps best display the art.

As an example, my friend @DamnitAll has some awesome tattoos. I don't see her tattoos as something that screams: "Check it out, I have a vagina!" so much as scars she gave herself to remember things from yesterday and keep her strong in the future.

Nobody has figured out how to put a Post-It note on your soul yet, so tattoos will have to do.

Don't like them. Never have. Not on women, not on men. I would rather see someone invest in artwork for the wall. The way I was brought up, only "certain kinds of people" had tattoos, and that kind wasn't the desirable kind for associating with. So of course, the love of my life has two, and god help me if anyone in my family ever finds out /sees them. My being a lesbian - no problem... tattoos - WOAH.. yeah HUGE problem.

I don't give a fuck about tattoos. I think people who do are ridiculous and I appreciate the fact that I have tattoos means that they won't bother me with their bullshit.

This statement is even better knowing that you have Al Franken's smiling face etched onto your left buttock.

I do. His wife is on my right cheek, and I take a lot of comfort in the ability to just sit on their faces whenever I have the chance.

I have never especially liked tattoos, but I have become tolerant of them over time.

I don't have any. I think if I started, the temptation to get tattoos related to my favorite manga would be too strong, as that world has a lot of cool designs I could totally put on my person. Then I'd really feel like a ninja.

I'd like one of plum blossoms some day. Maybe. They're expensive, though.

What I find hilarious is that my students are often surprised to discover that I do not have any tattoos nor piercings other than my ears. "But-but-but you're the COOL teacher," someone spluttered this fall, as if that meant I HAD to have one. It cracked me up.

Still kinda want this guy as a tramp stamp:

Needless to say, I love tattoos on men, women, old & wrinkled or young & fit, it doesn't matter. Naturally, because I have some and intend to get (many) more, I may be biased. Personally, I don't get why anyone would have an opinion on how someone else decorates their own body. I feel very similar to Bodkin in that respect. Who the fuck asked you?

    And then there's this design...

Though I'd probably want it smaller than that.

It's obviously subjective and dependent on the work.

Certain tattoo decisions don't work for me at all, but some of the hottest women I've seen have had a lot of ink done.

  15. There is so much more to (most) people than just the skin they inhabit. One can be an asshole or not, with or without tattoos. I have a lot of admiration for some folks both with and without. Same goes for those I don't much like.

There are some people in my life that, I feel, have made some unfortunate choices along these lines. I love 'em, anyway.

I have a nephew just made Master Sergeant in the Marines. He has been trained in counter-terrorism and was named Marine of the Year several years back. He should be on Embassy duty, utilizing his training, but, due to his tattoo choices, he was passed over. Instead, he has several tours in Iraq and a purple heart on his resume. He keeps making it home safely, thank FSM!

Kudos to your nephew. Master Sergeant is a major achievement in the Marines.

And your story also serves as an important reminder to working stiffs everywhere: Dress for the job you want, not the job you have. That includes your skin. I would never get tattoos visible when in t-shirt/shorts because I don't want to lose out on a job.

I got mine on my forearms partly as a way of trying to insulate myself from the kind of job where the status quo is that shallow. Though I have found that most jobs that give a shit about tattoos don't mind if you cover your arms with dress shirt sleeves. Also, academia FTW.

For women, there just is something about having big or multiple tattoos that is like graffiti on a marble sculpture.
