Temperature just below freezing last night, the sky heavy and wet. Take it easy out there today.

(Not thrilled because last night I noticed the turn signal on our Odessey van intermittently kicks out, and doesn't restart until I put it in park. Which won't help the highway driving I have to do, and service can't be arranged until next week)

yup. or could be a loose bulb, but the having put it in park speaks an electrical issue.

The charts for fuses don't include the signal switch. Turn lights, yes but not the switch. This is going to grind on me :(

That is a seriously awesome mall. I love the food court. It sounds like a weird thing to say to anyone who hasn't been there, I'm sure, but all I have to say in response is kimchee fried rice.

and it's right in the middle of downtown too. Not out in some suburb. Changed the whole atmosphere of the strip... some don't like it.

I found it to be a very pleasant space. Visually pleasing, easy to navigate, good people-watching, and tied into the TTC.

    Condo living hell.
Twenty minutes of three-story fire alarms because someone on third floor burned dinner. Blurg, it smells and my dogs are highly concerned. 'We' get billed for it, too.

I hear it's going to get worse before it gets better. Power is out, some projections are outages till Christmas. We plan to get on the highway in a few hours. If the trees keep dropping though we just might get stuck in our own neighbourhood. A tree tore in two 4 houses down and now that way is closed off due to the downed power line. No worries here. It actually is rather beautiful outside.

Here you can see the police tape and multiple downed branches

Where abouts is your neighbourhood @kramus ? Looks alot like mine in the Coxwell/Danforth area. Our power went out during a Christmas party across the street - which continued on with gas fireplace and candles - on Saturday night. We didn't get any power until this morning. So about 33 hours and the house had cooled down to 13 degrees. Luckily we have a gas stove. We're one of the lucky areas, could be because the hospital is on our grid. there's still significant areas of the city blacked out.

The baby maple on our boulevard:

Our street this morning - a lot of the old maples have been cut down because of age so not too many branches down on our street:

@Leto we are Mt Pleasant and Eglinton. I just got a message the power is still out. Our neighbour who is feeding the cats will drain the plumbing if it looks like things will freeze. If we were at home I'd be running the fireplace. Maybe hook up a battery pack to the gas fireplace as well and run that. Too bad we had to leave before I scraped down the sidewalk :(

Cozy and safe here above Barrie. Snow coats every branch instead of ice and freezing rain. A sky that merges with the trees. Beautiful.

@kramus - I grew up in Barrie. it's beautiful living in the snow belt, very little freezing rain. Just lots of snow!
