The Left 4 Dead Meetup Thread

Today is maybe. Tomorrow is unlikely. The weekend is better.

 

This evening should work for me—usually past 7 or 8 p.m. (EST).

 

So who's going to do this thing?

Oh, beforehand, at around 7:30 EST, we were, um, wondering where the fuck you were.

@Remixer wondered if I was going to write you a strongly worded letter. I think he downgraded that to a well-written letter.

I told him I would likely apologize in it.

The session we had was awesome. It was Me, Settie, Remixer, and his SO.

We barely all made it out alive. Just off the zombie gauntlet of a bridge, I was limping with no medkit or pills, and I had hit myself with an adrenaline shot and was going to gun it to the chopper. But just ahead of me, Remixer's SO jumped down a ledge, running for the pier, but fell to the ground and was bleeding out.

Even if it weren't for the adrenaline, I would have tried picking her up. Without it, we may have both died.

But no: We made it to the chopper!

 

I'm possibly the weakest link until I can get a proper gaming mouse. The Apple Magic Mouse is cool for scrolling windows all futuristic-like, but it sucks for 3D shooters.

I kept accidentally scrolling my items. It doesn't bode well when you find yourself whacking zombies with a medkit when you thought you were swinging a machete. Also, guns in the game don't jam, but it feels like it when you keep switching out weapons when you're trying to shoot them.

 

so last night I was bored and fired up L2D.

I didn't make it past the lobby and then I missed @settie

going to have to get the band back together.

 

XD that's because we were playing 2 years ago!
