Pointless Announcements

While stuck at the United Lounge in Houston I found out guys lie to chicks while trying to pick them up... who knew? Ok, either they lie or a 10-45 is now "officer down" and no longer "dead animal blocking road." And based on the conservation I'd say the more the young ladies have to drink the more they believe the flowing BS. One guy was a law enforcement officer who knew nothing about 10 codes and the other a pilot who knew nothing about how runways are numbered. Hope the later wasn't piloting my plane home.

 

The scary thing is that they very well could be what they claim to be based on their paycheck and not so much their skill set.

My old lady was recently hit on by an "Effa Bee Eye Agent" at some bar near a training facility and the guy put her hand on his service pistol as a part of his touchy-touchy game.

I always thought they crow only during sunrise. But now I have one. He crows anytime. Sometimes to answer an other rooster in the neighborhood. Sometimes when I try to chase them from where they are (they free range all day) he crows. Like saying it is his territory.

 

I'm doing my fifth overnight in the office.

I mean, the fifth in eight days.

Not that I can blame anyone for this. I volunteered.

 

Overnights are normal aren't they? It felt really odd when I added a daywalker shift to the mix earlier this year, this whole "being awake and active in the sunlight daylight hours" still feels wrong to me. edit: Especially when I sorely miss my 0700/0800ish nap in the morning.

And no way these two morons were what they claimed. Unless runways are labeled "L" for long and "R" for restricted now, you know because right and left (and sometimes "C' for center) would just be silly.

 

Christmas concert. Other people's kids suck.

My wife is a music teacher.
She teaches children ages pre-K through 9th grade.
They perform concerts, which mostly involve the children singing.
All of the children participate, even the untalented ones.

 

Just walked the dog then took a shower.
Plan for the day:
Study up to 1330.
Go to work until 1930 or so...
Come home (with a box of coffee cups) and study all night.
Peds final tomorrow morning at 0900.
After that I am done with this semester.
Four weeks to fuck around and do what I want! Woohoo!
