Sherlock

We really enjoyed Sherlock even though i'm not a huge Cummberach fan. He is a much better Holmes than he was a Khan.

 

I came late to the Sherlock party. I resisted because I've been a huge fan of the Conan Doyle stories and I was prepared to dislike a "modern retelling" of those stories. I couldn't have been more wrong. I've caught up with two seasons and I'm eagerly looking forward to series 3. The stories are cleverly written and very well acted. I love the witty references to the original stories, and the sly sense of humor. I'm totally hooked!

 

He is absolutely fantastic. As an old Conan Doyle coot, I'm thrilled that he nails the personality of Holmes so well. It's more that a mindless update. You can tell that the actors and writers know thw stories and the characters and they are true to them. Cumberbatch absolutely captures the character. He also adds such great wit and humor.

 

I get a lot of that here at home. Both my wife and my daughter are absolutely gone on him I must say they have good taste.

For myself, I could happily drink in Lara Pulver (Irene Adler) for eternity....smoking hot

 

I'm stoked!

 

Btw, @snowy, the trailer was very much appreciated by the ladies of the house

 

I'm waiting any day for one of them to suggest that we should fly to the UK just to catch Episode 1 three weeks earlier. Haha!

They've both requested a few BC items as Christmas gifts. I'm feeling entirely inadequate!

 

My wife has Sherlock ring tones now, of course. She also found personalized BC Christmas wrapping paper. she has it personalized with our daughter's first name. It wishes the recipient a Merry Christmas from the MAN,

Meanwhile, in other news, I think I'm slowly losing my mind.....
