    You sound like my wife.

"I need to pee but the cat looks so comfortable sleeping on top of me that I refuse to move."

Here are a couple of updated shots of Loki. He's more than doubled his weight since the first shots I posted. He's also lost all his puppy teeth (finally).

He loves autumn, and has an obsession with leaves. We're curious to see how he responds to snow.

yep. I'm so bad that it sometimes goes, 'I'd really like to sleep but this cat is so comfortable draped over my face.'

    CinnamonGirl The Cheat is GROUNDED!

I'm the same way-- I'm really bad about flailing about when I'm dreaming, so I frequently knock my pillows to the floor, which Benjen takes immediate advantage of. I can't tell you how many times I've gone back to sleep without pillows because he looked so damn comfy :)

Speaking of Benjen: here he is post-bath, eagerly waiting for a treat. Quality isn't great, since I took it with my phone cam.

  6. So Tommy J got into some sort of scuffle getting a boo boo on his cheek. I was monitoring him for a few days and it was starting to heal. However, the healing process is itchy so he kept scratching and opening up the wound. I took him to the vet to get some meds and to see what I could do to prevent him from scratching.

    He got a cone.

He's kind of cute with it on. He's used to it now, but last night he kept running into things. I'll probably give him a break from it tonight for an hour while I snuggle with him..

Thank you all for posting your pets.

This was Maggie. We had her for about 9 years.
She was hit by a car and killed the evening before last.
I didn't realize she was so afraid of loud noises, like the pellet guns we were shooting.

Guess this will be the thread I bomb w pics of the beasts.
Haili is our over-weight 10 yr old Lab/Golden cross. The lab in her is often expressed in an overwhelming desire to watch people eat. I think the weight and the attention are related some how.

We recently acquired a pair of brothers. Ulysses and George.

Thank you, @RedSneaker. I do appreciate it.
You're right, she was part of the family. It hit me especially hard because I helped her deliver her puppies when she was younger, and we kinda bonded more, I thought.
I had never gone through something like that as an adult. My parents had always done it in the past.

That was the same way I felt about my 20 yr old cat Gatsby when I had to have him put to sleep in July. He was mine - not anyone else's. not to say it wasn't sad when we lost other pets in the family over the years. But those I think upset my mom more because they had bonded more than I did with them. So Gatsby was the first pet that moved when I did and slept with me and knew that we belonged together.

This is what he looked like when I adopted him at age 7. For an old cat to be adopted out, I hit the jackpot. I still wonder about the life he had before me and how someone could just leave him and walk away. :(

    Take comfort in your memories.

And a lazy dog. Par for the course in this house today.
