The ladies may love James, but Sarah "whip it like a man" rocked it. I was so rooting for her!

 

I've had a broken high-e string on my guitar for nearly a week.

It's amazing how such a thing will force creativity in ways that few other things can.

 

Ugh. Brain chemistry sucks sometimes.

 

Got up early and went to an NA meeting. (The last of the meetings I'm required to attend.) It was phenomenal. I was blown away by the candor and wisdom and love and humor in that room. People of all ages - teenagers even with so much insight into themselves and how the world works. It was inspiring. It got me to thinking again about continuing on to get my master's in public health. That would be two more years, though...difference being that I could be working as a nurse while I do it.

NA and Nar-Anon meetings can be pretty amazing places. I'm glad you got to experience it.

Side note: when I went to Nar-Anon meetings regularly, there were lots of women who took copious notes. Is this really unusual? Or was it because outsiders were taking notes (@tully) that it became an issue?

 

I didn't go to any of the friends & family support groups so that's not something I observed. But maybe because people share information about resources and ideas for coping with a loved one who is a user - maybe there's more leniency in that sort of group. Just guessing, though.

Not that I am into food like that, but this scene was pure hotness when I was a young teen.
