Well, *I* wasn't going to say it, but ok. It's like Joe Dirt if the guy was sexy and good looking, and the girl was trashy, instead of the other way around like in the movie.

    Et tu...

Someone else just mentioned they were under the weather. Positive vibes in your direction.

And since any time something happens in Mexico I get calls or messages asking if I'm safe..

Is that big storm affecting you? I realize it's about a thousand kilometers away but figured I'd ask anyway.

Thanks, still have a head full but the worst appears to be over.

The storm is over China now, which is even further north than the Philippines.

That said, we are in the rainy season so we get daily thunderstorms - there's one coming down right now. It's rare that we get drizzle. It's either full on downpour with a massive light show, or dry.

This is what we get here. Had a summer of daily afternoon/evening down pours and now it's staring up again. My dogs hate the light show, scares them something awful. Nothing like having a 45K dog or two try to climb into your lap.

Arguing with quasi-intelligent people who are uneducated about a particular subject, but refuse to even be open to the possibility that you are right is really, really fucking frustrating. I've had seven years of experience with families dealing with chronic pain in their kids and adolescents. You can't argue methadone use from a substance abuse perspective if they're taking it appropriately for chronic pain. For kitten's SAKE!

Yeah I never get stopped in the US anyone. Here is another issue. Sunday I got stopped while caught in traffic and the officers stated, in Spanish obviously, "your speed was too high." When I responded, in my awful Spanish, "That's a joke right, in this traffic (hand motion to cars moving 5kph) you think I was speeding?" A shocked look that I responded in Spanish and a "Just a warning for you to drive with more care, please go but slow down."

You guys suck. I get pulled over just because the cop in rush hour traffic is bored and runs my plate and sees my insurance has lapsed. He pulls me from my truck and has it towed, leaving me on the side of the road. Literally. FML.

Kinda makes hearing "your door is ajar" less painful, doesn't it Tully?

Well Budget in Portland is the twilight zone of rental cars I'm convinced. I had the "your door is a jar" incident then to months later a 'ding, ding, ding" with the red dash light for seat belt lit up. I connected every set belt in car and still 'ding, ding, ding.' Luckily on that trip I had a Bluetooth capable car and could drown out the dings with music. When I returned that car is was mid day, normal I fly out around 0600 and hadn't returned a car there mid day. The people giving hand signals as to where to go confused not only me but obviously everyone else. The hand signals simply made no sense. One was a right hand at about ear/eye level and the person rotated their hand back and forth, looked like the queen waving almost... no idea what it or any of the other signals meant. People in line in front of me were turning left then right, stopping shaking their heads and sticking their heads out the window to ask "what are you trying to tell me?" I just ignored them and followed the line of cars to the check in point. I think the staff were just bored and decide to do stupid things like point at their feet or the sky like it meant something. They did seem to find it funny, I was running late for a flight and my humor level was not nearly as high as theirs.

The grinder motor on my coffeepot is out as of this morning, and somehow I vacuum-sealed the already ground coffee so well I can't get the damn lid off.

I'm a little cranky without coffee.
