Is there such a huge difference between being seen in your bra vs. bikini top?

I never participate in Internet forums for this reason. People calling names and sometimes even derogatory. Tfp is a lot lot lot better but still not an exception.

    Uh, you're participating right now.

You're totally missing the context and that's okay.

I see no difference, and agree with your "Women's Logic" photo.

I don't understand what the big deal is, but if I were to take a wild guess, it would be that you usually take off a bra when undressing to have sex. And that is usually the only time guys see bras. Bikini tops rarely lead to sex, at least from a male perspective.

Anyways, you look like you are getting into shape, and are doing a good job. Even if you didn't have much to work off. Keep it up.

    The sarcasm-o-meter is redlining.

No wonder so many folks register, ask a a question or two, then decide to bail. We, and I include myself, really need to consider what kind of impression some of our comments make on newbies.

Chelle, I sincerely hope that my comments didn't offend you. I tried to provide an honest response to your inquiry; it probably came across as blunt.

    Difference?
    NONE

    Bikini
    Bra
    Workout outfit

It's the "appropriateness" that people harp on.

Even for men...for example, I could be at the beach, with simple trunks on.
But if I wear the same trunks while walking my dogs at the complex...hoo boy, I'm a inappropriate.

People care about the silliest things...and it's not just about sex.
Again, for example...Am I any smarter because I wear a tie? A piece of cloth around my neck... Yet, people give you more credibility, they respond differently.

I wonder what it would be like if everyone walked around fully nude all the time. (no makeup allowed too)
Would it be more of a meritocracy?

It's actually kind of like here, at the TFP.
People respond to your words and thoughts...not who you are or what you look like.

  10. I once had a bikini top that looked just like your bra - so sometimes maybe the only difference is in the label on the inside.
What I did find icky and offensive was a man in the vegetable dept wearing lycra cycling shorts who obviously had his penis and balls balanced on the cucumbers when he reached up and forward for the salad packs.
No way would I have purchased one - even if they were in plastic wrap.

to me as a man it makes no difference at all. The picture that you posted originally shows less of yourself then some bathing suits would. My wife has won her bra and panties to go swimming in before. If it doesn't bother you then it should not matter.

I agree with what mm wrote, you should pick your battles and not fight all of them. Because sometimes it's just not worth it. But that's just my opinion
