A friend sent some amazing food. Going to relish it for dinner... Full Moon - Going to be terribly lonely in such a wonderful home...

And fish and lamb cooked and ready for the week end. Work, drink, eat, sleep, work, drink, eat, sleep...

We had a delicious sirloin tip, Grass-fed, local young cow steak. And some organic crook-neck and zucchini squash sautéed with onion and Bragg's. With a side off ridiculously good pickled cabbage from the Farmer's Market. Heaven.

But, for lunch, I had a few ribs and a hot link from Broussard's Links Plus Ribs... Yeah, I drove an hour each way for the most amazing barbecue I've ever had. And I'm going to do it about once a month. Just lean enough to have the meat fall completely off the bone with zero fatty chunks. I've eaten all the animal I can consume for the rest of the month, since the Man got here on Tuesday.

I went for the Fatty Melt. I don't regret it. Two grilled cheeses--perfectly melted diner-style grilled cheeses with white bread and American cheese--around a hand-spanked natural beef patty. SO FUCKING GOOD.

    Buffalo-fu.

Tofu, fried until golden brown, lightly tossed with some nutritional yeast to provide a "breading," then tossed with Frank's Red Hot Buffalo. Delicious.

Pei Wei. I have to admit, I really love this place. Plus, they send me significant deals through email every week. Much like Sweet Tomatoes. More places ought to do that.

My fortune: excitement and intrigue follow you closely wherever you go.

fflowley Don't just do something, stand there!

I made homemade pork and beans.
The perfect dish for the first wintery day in upstate NY.
And then I collected my daddy tax from the kids Halloween stash.
    Very sated right now.

I made a delicious beef and vegetable soup yesterday. Had leftovers for dinner.
I'm feeling a lot better... the restorative powers of homemade soup are amazing.

Woman made her favorite "Buffalo chicken pasta" in the crock pot. It's hot, contains Frank's, ranch and that high protein pasta with delicious chunks of chicken.

    My mouth is on fire.

I made Italian rice & beans... but I used wild rice instead of brown, and I forgot the pine nuts. Grrr.

Still pretty good, though. Sun-dried tomatoes, Great Northern beans, rice, spinach, and a sprinkling of lemon zest over the top. Nom.

This video came to mind even as I was taking these but they came out fairly decent, especially for my point and shoot. The "macro mode" is more properly called "close up mode" but it is the only practical reason I carry that camera usually. Eating out at a restaurant is rare event for me so I took the chance for these when it was there.
