I agree it will be discussed. The sad thing is that the union is strong enough that they'll use it as leverage instead of agreeing in the best interests of the game.

Check out this video. Especially 0:33 - 0:55. He says he "bets his life" that the substance was never in his system, intentionally or unintentionally.

I'm not so sure. I'm not sure that it provides them with any sort of positive leverage. I think that the union is discovering that the backlash against dirty players is great enough that they don't want to sink the rest of the players.

As far as Braun goes, I'm just referring to his official rebuttals. There was no mention there of not having taking PED's, just quibbling about testing and handling procedures.

  3. We, as fans need to be so vocal about this that it has to be dealt with. Braun is lucky that he goes away for the rest of the year. Followed by the off season. He'll come back when everyone is looking forward to the season starting and won't catch the full brunt of fan disgust as he should. Players are disrupting the game by their use of PEDs, elevating their performance beyond normal. Fans should disrupt the game by mercilessly booing and taunting these players every time they take the field (ok, a bit over the top but you get the idea) Until the fans in unison show disapproval, there won't be much done by either side. Unfortunately, there will silent acceptance of this. Just like in the past.

Here's my reasoning for criticizing Braun. Basically, he didn't say that the test was wrong. He said that the process had a flaw. Not that anyone exploited the flaw or that there was any reason to believe that he didn't take something. But it worked.

  6. If I weren't leaving at 6 am tomorrow, I'd suggest that all of us Chicago area TFPers go to the White Sox game tonight and heckle Arod mercilessly. I'm sure the Sox fans won't let me down.
