Ok, look I'm a big dumb gringo looking guy but that doesn't mean I'm a moron (doesn' mean I'm not either I suppose) so please stop trying to charge me 5 pesos more for shit. Look I can read "Spray paint- 35 peso a can" in Spanish so stop trying to tell me it's 40.

I keep thinking I'm never going back to that little store but I can walk to it in 10 mins. Which is part of why I really don't get it. They see me, they know I live here. they know I'm not some tourist who just walked off a cruise ship and wandered into a tiny hole in the wall hardware store and thought "oh, spray paint we don't have that in the states, lets buy some here."

Shit gets old is all I'm saying.

 

Got a cranky email yesterday. Oh well. I guess this pleasant-ness couldn't last forever.

 

Naturally I've left the task of re-enrolling in my designated benefit plans at work until today, the last day of open enrollment. I'd managed to forget, in the past year, that my ex is still listed as the primary—and sole—beneficiary of my workplace life insurance policy. And though I've added new beneficiaries to take her place, the system won't let me remove her.

Of course the woman in HR in charge of benefits is typically a total bitch, so I'm thrilled to have to be dealing with her to clear up this mess.

Sent an e-mail begging my professor to make other arrangements with me. I highly doubt he'll say 'yes,' but I have to try.

You know you live in an apartment with shitty plumbing when someone moves into the apartment beneath you and the first thought that comes to mind is 'yay! now the toilet will flush right!'

My back/hip/butt/leg hurts like a mother-fucker. :-( Work is extremely uncomfortable and I can't wait to get out of here so I can lay my fat ass on the couch as horizontal is the only comfortable position for me right now.
