I can't think of a specific Dish that I have been addicted to. However I wen thew a time when I was addicted to eating dishes where that contained eggplant. I love the eggplant.

Here are a few of the eggplant dishes I would make at the time.

    Eggplant Rollatini

    Eggplant Snack Sticks

Eggplant Parmesan (Martin usually makes this. I don't think he ever used a recipe though.)

    Eggplant Croquetts

Magpie, you've just reminded me of my favourite store bought cookies. I can't get them here but as a kid they were my favourite.

And second to the Oatmeal, and sometimes before the Oatmeal, Dad's Chocolate Chip cookies.

Tarragon lemon chicken. A mixture of lemon juice, butter, salt, and tarragon applied to a boneless skinless chicken breast, sealed in aluminum foil, and baked in the oven. It comes out so juicy and the tarragon flavor is noticeable but not overwhelming.

Labne (or lebne as I've seen it spelled here) is such a treat. I've also been putting mushrooms in everything I can.

Kim chee. love the stuff - saw it mentioned above. Also, guacamole. especially with jalapenos chopped into it. I like to eat it by itself, or as a dip or on burgers....

BG - you should pay a visit to this little hole-in-the-wall place on Bloor near Christie (southeast corner at Clinton) that serves Korean tofu soup. It's called "Buk Chang Dong Soon Tofu" .

http://maps.google.ca/maps?q=Buk Chang Dong Soon Tofu, Bloor Street West, Toronto, Ontario&hl=en&ll=43.663789,-79.417366&spn=0.006225,0.013937&sll=43.777199,-79.41482&sspn=0.006058,0.013937&vpsrc=6&t=h&z=17&layer=c&cbll=43.663877,-79.416989&panoid=zJ_3QdLj-k62oSqKZYqj-w&cbp=13,204.54,,0,4.71

Everything there is about $7.08. and you get your fill of kim chee.

I'm not entirely obsessed (yet, haha), but lately, I've been craving Thai food. Which is weird, because I don't eat it that often.

I am obsessed with hot sauce. Like that one commercial says, "I put that shit on everything." Texas Pete and Cholula are my favorite grocery store brands, but I'll try anything. Including the ones that numb my mouth for an hour :D

Sour beer and buffalo wings go together soooo well. One of the brewpubs here in town has awesome wings. Now I really want some.

All this talk of chicken wings and beer has my mouth watering.

I am hoping to get downtown to the old hawker building, Lau Pa Sat, this weekend. There is a guy there that makes the best barbeque wings. A little squirt of lime and... heaven!

    Damn. It's only Wednesday.

I have literally grown up on this stuff. It probably makes up 20% of my blood content. Being from an European background I always have some lying around the house(right now I have 2 jars), not to mention my grandmother makes it so there is an endless supply. It is like crack to me and would probably take up the top 2 places of my doomsday supplies.

Possibly the best creation ever made.
Protip: Also try putting some Feta Cheese on the top.

My food obsessions were mostly developed in the past 4 years. Here goes:

    - Uramaki sushi with smoked salmon, avocado and mayonnaise. Had it first and since then only in the Dubai-based "Sumo Sushi".
    - Uramaki sushi with smoked salmon, Philadelphia spread cheese and covered in red fish roe. Also had it only in Dubai and been loving the place ever since.
    - Curry croquettes. Had them first in the Dubai-based "Kiku" Japanese restaurant, together with a side of Japanese mayonnaise. Love on first sight.
    - Thomy Delikatess-Mayonnaise. Very specific German product I'm talking about here. Taste is unparalleled with any other mayonnaise anywhere.
    - Tzatziki. Must have with Döner.
    - Hummous. Have to have it with any kebab, otherwise I'll be one sad panda.
    - Thai Peanut Satay sauce. Must have with meat and potatoes. Found it here in Kabul a month ago and have been using it ever since. The one I use is called "Classic Thai: Peanut Satay Sauce".
    - Creamy mushroom sauce. My favourite sauce for steaks. Any steak: any cut, any weight, any tenderness, any marbling, any temperature.
