    Did some pulldowns on a machine for a few sets of 8, then benched top sets of 315 for 9 and 345 for 3, then did some DB lateral raises for a couple of sets to finish off my shoulders, and boy are my arms tired... This on a calorie deficit. I forgot to pack my lunch. Now I have to wait until break time to go to the store and get something to exist on.

    Tracking calories again. Let's see if I can make it below 220 this time. The recumbent bike at the gym is calling.

    I'm fitting into a size smaller jean. I bought these cropped jeans a couple months ago at Costco, and I've been working my way toward them. I tried them on a couple weeks ago, and they fit, but I still kind of had a muffin top. Today, I put them on, and they were a bit loose!

    I've lost a couple of pounds so far, but I'm now feeling weak, and my workouts are showing it. It took me an hour to get a workout that used to take about 30 to 45 minutes, and I was too tired to finish. So I only got in a half a workout. It may be that my blood pressure is getting 'better/lower'. I took my pressure about an hour after getting home from the gym and it was 109/77. The last time this happened, I had to lower my meds. I'm only taking half the lowest dose, so maybe I can get off of it altogether.

    Had to buy some new belts because the old belts were too large. That's a nice feeling.

    Benched 350 for 3 today. That's in the range of personal record. Dang those weights are getting heavy... I also ogled several lovely young ladies. The latter was definitely more enjoyable.

    My trousers have gotten so loose I have to wear a belt. I'm down another percentage point of body fat.

    I ended up going to the hospital Friday night, turns out I have pneumonia. Not really sure how that happened. Needless to say, there's no exercising for me until I get this sorted out.

    Your tastebuds like fat and sweet. Your brain really likes the chemical additives. Unfortunately, most of todays food isn't good for weightlifters.

    Luckily I can't eat too much pre-processed foods, as I am gluten intolerant. Limits eating out and quick foods.

    Yikes. Feel better soon.

    Good fats abound in natural foods. I eat a diet right now that is pretty high in fat. Lots of avocados, nuts, coconut oil. It's delicious, and it keeps me satisfied. Fat is filling. I find that I eat a lot less if I eat fat. It's not hard for me to eat 1500-1700 calories a day, sometimes even far less, if I'm hitting the macros I'm supposed to on keto.

    Actually, I am glad I gave up wheat (and the rest of the gluten grains) I don't think I'm intolerant, but I have to say I really like not feeling "stuffed" after eating. Wheat is nothing like it was 40 years ago and I don't think we have a food that has been altered so much in the past couple of decades.

    I've been touting the benefits (to scoffing and naysaying) of a high fat, high protein, low carb ketogenic diet in this forum for years. I've been in ketosis for most of the last seven or eight years, (I check a couple times a month) have good health, good metabolic numbers, and without much effort stay right at my target weight of about 110 lbs.
    I eat a lot of fish and meat in addition to all kinds of greens and other veggies, but hardly any grains, (whether whole or unholy) potatoes, or other starch.

    It amuses me somewhat that lipophobes seem to be the people that struggle the most with their weight.
