I got a little teary and had to give her a hug.

The pet hospital is not a perfect place, but I do love the people I work with.
I will miss them when I eventually have to leave.

Toronto is getting cold. It went down to 10c last night. I am not made for this anymore.

About to drive to the airport to take a flight home. I am going to miss this place.

 

Always been in love with the Banlieue 13 movies. Always will.

 

Ready to get this day over with so that I can enjoy a measurable slice of downtime. Think I might even buy myself a bottle of wine.

I am still in bed. Awwww yissss.

 

Today I discovered that one of the women in my clinical group is a spectacular annoyance. If I get paired up with her for a clinical day, I will want to kill myself.
If I were to attempt to impart the myriad of ways in which she is a colossal pain in the ass, I would be here all night.

When she complained that we were running behind (which we were because she asks a shit ton of stupid fucking questions), I wanted to punch her in the face. Not only questions, but every question came complete with a story - (do they use baby wipes, because I know some places object to using baby wipes, the hospital I did clinical wipes at last year didn't use wipes, it was crazy, they used handcloths, does this place use baby wipes?). Over and over and over again. Like, who gives a fuck if they use baby wipes? You fucking use what they have. We're clearing trachs and doing tube feedings, that's the important stuff.

On three separate occasions she turned to me with this crazy look on her face, 'aren't you afraid to do this on babies?'
Me: Um, no. *casually go stand on the other side of the room*
Criminy.

 

Build a fence to keep her away. Fences solve all problems.

So I got a little bit drowsy on my couch and contemplated taking a nap.
The next thing I knew, I woke up sidesways on said couch with a guitar draped over me.

Now I'm off to find food before blasting progressively larger holes into some things.

 

Pinterest has reinstated all of the boards of mine that they deleted. Ain't that curious.
