    It's time to paaaack for Ontario.
    Taking the 2 beasts this time as the boy has gone back to school.
    Each year, we agree that we should take our elderly Schipperke despite the long drive and in hot weather, huge hassle (frequent stops, searches for shade, leaving the air on, one human at a time rest stops...).
    Each year, she is still here to enjoy one more week of being totally off-leash at the lake.

    Sitting here watching the Cowgirls get their ass handed to them, yeah it's a repeat on NFLNet but anytime I can watch the Cowgirls loose and their fans whine it's a good night.

    Anyway wasting time while my SO attends to family business and was just reading on flyerstalk about the roll out of Boeing's new 787-9 "Dreamliner." Looking at the orders so far and noticed three purchases by individuals, names not released. Usual suspect I suspect for usual reasons. Just blows me away that there's people, families whatever who can afford not only the 185m +/- price tag but the maintenance and flight cost of such a monster.

    Well, back to my regularly scheduled night of repeat NFL games, a couple Sol beers and left over chips and dip.

    I've never heard it used as a synonym for coward. I've heard it used mostly to describe pettiness, especially petty exercising of power, enforcing stupid rules, like a cop giving a speeding ticket for one mph over the limit.

    The Oxford lists that meaning as well: petty/trivial or petty concerns/trivialities. I'm not familiar with that use. I tend to think of chickenshit as a taunt you use against someone who won't fight you, or what you call someone who won't do a dare or something risky.

    The Ducks are playing Nicholls State. It's going to be a massacre. When we played them last year, I was at school and my husband went by himself to the game. He left at the half.

    We've got a guy out due to mono and might have another out due to a knee bruise. I don't think it'll have much of an impact, though. GO BEAVS!!!
