    The meal I've been posting about all over TFP.

    I took stoner notes as I cooked it
    If it's any good I can reproduce it

    So I'm cleaning out my fridge...

    It's two different knobs of salami fried with red capsicum & red onion.
    I added a chilli seasoning with some water just before the rice.

    It was pretty spicy to eat.
    So I added a swirl of honey mustard sandwich mayo to my bowl.

    Makes my Italian heart happy! Are you using meat, or are you sticking with tomatoes only? Hope it's awesome.

    9 pounds of chopped and gutted local southern tomatoes, half of a vidalia, half of a yellow bell pepper, 15 leaves of basil chiffonade, a grated carrot (instead of sugar) to offset the acid, garlic and spices simmer for 4 to 6 hours, then I add in sauteed mushrooms and today they only had turkey hot and mild italian sausages, so I'm going to brown that a add it to the sauce when there is about an hour left.

    The first thing I do when I get to Louisiana is put a pot of red sauce on the stove so it'll smell a little bit like home.

    We had steak, burgers stuffed with Bleu cheese, grilled corn, potato salad, and panzanella. My uncle grilled for us. It was tasty.

    We're going out for our anniversary. I'm anticipating a good meal at one of the better restaurants in town--it's one of my favorites because it's consistent, has excellent service, and always has something hubby can eat and enjoy--plus an extensive Scotch menu.

    Mayport shrimp and crab gazpacho, beef tenderloin with oven dried tomatoes and blue cheese glazed potatoes, and blackberry cobbler with vanilla creme anglaise. Jeebus.

    It was awesome. The perfect anniversary / birthday dinner. A bottle of Robert Craig 2009 Affinity Cab and a Moscow mule (to start). Amazing. Hubs had pate with candied figs, duck leg confit with pork belly and truffled spaghetti squash. And the cobbler with me. I love Medure's. Fucking amazing every time.
