Astrology anyone?

So there are ten "signs" instead of twelve and they rotate on a ten-year basis instead of yearly? What predictions about a person does Eastern astrology make?

 

nope, 12 animals but yes, the elements rotate on a 10yr basis

as for eastern 'predictions', each of the animals and elements has it's symbolism, the animals each have four stages, it's psychology, childhood, relationships, professional and material lives defined, as well as the animal's environment

as well as the elements characteristics also defined, eastern astrology also 'predicts' how other animals and elements interact with each other

 

For a second I thought the title of this thread said astronomy and got prematurely excited.

Astrology is based off of science not Earthly, but galactic.

I have a theory on why Astrology and the I Ching work, but it's only a theory because I have one source for the information it's based upon, it's not credible, but I have checked it against my deepest levels of consciousness and I have that feeling that it's right.

It is thus:
The universe is much larger than this itty little galaxy, with as many galaxies as there are stars in ours.
each galaxy has beings of higher consciousness, with no war, or competition, everyone works together, and imagines life into being because of their energetic makeup and fully active genetic package.

We here have war, higher classes and lower classes, discrimination, all of these things because our planet (and by extension most of our galaxy) has lost the truth of these abilities, which are the birthright of consciousness in the universe.

Here's the obvious part, did you notice how many observed galaxies are big spherical things with more light at the center? How few are spirals?

My opinion is this: those spherical (perfect) galaxies are populated by healthy conscious peoples, and galaxies like ours are dying because of the consciousness fed it by outside sources intent on making use of its dying momentum (literally its kinetic energy).

Now, when a system is creating more energy than it uses, it would, by nature, have a spherical energetic form, but when it is using more than it creates, it makes a predictable pattern based on the paths of least resistance (the spiral galaxy).

The energies of people in our galaxy are exactly like that, and based upon birth date, and landmarks in the sky, we have discovered how people will be, based on the conditions of their birth, and observed patterns of people, and the paths of the planets/ stars, long since written down and passed along, as Astrology.

I ching, uses your energy, and reflects it back, given the law of Karma, if you think a question, law of chance gives you an answer.

What kind of energy? How would you go about measuring it?

 

You might call it multilevel quantum kinetic momentum.
Light has it, particles have it (in electron orbits and nucleus rotation)
So do planets, stars, plants, rocks, people, in the shapes they take and the energy that embodies those actions and results.

You can't measure it completely, because it may be measured using many unrelated units, and any measurement of its force would be required to account for not just the force of the movement, but the angle of offset from its surrounding frequencies.

 

I'm following you until you jump from particles having it (sounds like total angular momentum quantum number to me) to macro-scale objects. How does a measurement on the quantum scale affect those qualities you describe on the macro scale? How does that quantum measurement or set of quantum measurements produce real, observable, testable characteristics and how would you test for them?

 

Not into astrology, but as far as the site the OP posted a link to - the description for Pisces - dead on balls accurate.

Yeah, well Astrology has no facts other than observed patterns. I'm an engineering student and an artist, I don't have the time to flesh this kind of thing out, it's only speculation.

 

Just that energy follows matter, we don't know 1% of what types of energy there are, or what energy even is. When water falls down a drain, the energy will track the pattern of the motion, my idea is that since the Milky Way has black holes at the center, then its energy has fallen into patterns, similarly.
