Pointless Announcements

I took these pictures yesterday for this express purpose. There was much more scenic things not far past this point but this one was too easy to pass on.

 

Just stripped, cleaned, polished, re-assembled, re-strung, and set up one of my guitars. Plays and feels better than it ever has before. Got three more to do before the end of the week.

Time to jam a bit before bed.

 

My regret of the day:

I wish I hadn't rushed the viewing of House of Cards episodes.

Everyone told me it was great, and I was positively impressed by it.

But there is only one season out yet.

Bah!

 

So you know, i get a call from this dude just now who tells me casually like it's nothing that the last time he was here he wanted to punch the doctor in the face and that if we didn't have so many people around he would 'have been in trouble' telling you this as if it was the most natural thing in the world and as if he doesn't sound like a fucking psycho. I think he actually expected me to be impressed with his masculine fortitude.

How dare a vet tell you how to care for your cat.

Douchebag. Your cat lives outside and has never even had a rabies vaccine. You fucking need someone to tell you.

 

Sitting in the dentist office, waiting to get my Redneck tooth fixed ( front chipped tooth). Took a month to get a spot, only I would be at Redneck Fest and get bumped as I was drinking root beer and have the bottle chip my front tooth.

 

Whoa. My right tonsil is HUGE. Hurts like a mofo, too.

This is the only place I really talk about it and I think they're getting tired of me talking about BabySquirrel all the time. I'm trying to stay low key and trust TFP. They even have a countdown until my due date on the home page, making me feel super special.

I'll post pics on FB after it falls out of my vagina.

I know everyone in our hospital can relate to that story. Every one of us has been there. Fortunately for our docs, they rarely have to discuss money with the clients. Usually it is the nurses, but in emergency situations that is often left up to me (or whoever is working the front at that time). It is never easy, but most of the time it goes OK. There have been a few instances when people accused me of not caring about their pet and that does hurt because I love each and every one of them. Even the assholes, lol.

People do need to plan for health emergencies for their pets, but many people don't. It doesn't mean they care less about their pets...some people look at it that way, but I don't. In the same vein, it's not fair to accuse us of only being interested in money when you can't pay. Especially if you owe us money or have already gotten free emergency care for your pet.

That said, I don't think we would have turned that pet away. We've never sent anyone away with a pet that was dying. Not while I've been there, at least.
