One of our older customers apologized to me for calling me "dear" and "darlin'." He wasn't an ass about it, so I didn't really mind, but it was nice of him to apologize. I wonder if another woman in his life WAS offended and said something to him.


The downside to this story is that he called me "ma'am" at the end of the conversation. I liked darlin' better.

Regarding calling you 'sir', it's absolutely not because of your voice which can actually sound a bit breathy and if I may, 'girly', and it's not your face or body. You are truly a natural beauty with a fine WOMAN'S slim, athletic body.
It is people taking the lazy route and judging that this person has super-short hair--therefore must be a guy. It's all on them, not you. But still, I hear you. (dumbasses)
