Sit around inside and watch re-runs or sit outside and drink wine by the fire?

I'm thinking that drinking and fire should win...

I've been lying in bed since about 6:30. No sleep, yet. Watched The Grifters and now Like Water for Chocolate is on. Quails with rose petal sauce...I feel restless....

  8. We got nice notes from our vets when each of our dogs died. Didn't expect it at all. Was very touched. They know they are more than just mere animals. They become family.

This somehow turned into strawberry ice cream and the first season of "Glee" instead. I'm...not sure how that happened.

  10. 'Glee' is half-way to a musical... so you're a quarter of the way there.
    My logic is infallible. ;)

    ...

Gonna be another long night of me messing with my server. I cannot seem to leave the thing alone. It's like ESXi is crack for my nerdier half.

Ha! Well...sort of. It's not exactly what I had in mind when I turned on the TV. But I keep singing along, so I guess that was kind of the point.

I somehow forgot how irritating some of these characters are, though.

    However, this made me laugh:

"You're a good kid, Aphasia, why did you try to rob a bank?"
"Because, Miss Hitchens, that's where they keep the money."

I quit Reddit yesterday and I haven't gotten pissed off once today... such a nice change! Have to find something new to read on my phone while in the 'library'.

I didn't realize how bad I let most of the idiots get under my skin.

Yes we send notes to the families of pets that have died or been euthanized. We all sign the cards and try to make them as personal as possible. But the donation is an extra nice touch.

Why the hell would they name a character Aphasia? It means an inability to speak or understand language.

Off to the hospital. Hope it's a quiet day. Feeling stressed about the project I still have to finish before Monday...plus studying for Monday's exam. Need to cultivate some calm.

Yesterday, while I was there picking out my patient there was an old woman yelling 'help!' the whole time. Which is not unusual...but I sort of hope she's gone back home.

Visiting Madison Wisconsin next week for a healthcare conference. I plan on visiting 3 breweries, Washburn Observatory, the State Capitol, and touring University of Wisconsin-Madison. I was going to visit the zoo, but it closes at 5 (weird time for a zoo to close) and it might be in the 90's (degrees) so I doubt the animals will do anything.

Protip for zoo visits - Get there the minute the zoo opens. Some zoos open very early in the AM (or at least the outdoor exhibits do. Aside from being less crowded, that is when most animals are active. Some open as early as 6-7AM. It is amazing to see the difference in activity (and lack of spectators) at 7AM vs. 11AM.
