Pointless Announcements

Getting up early (ish) on Sunday gives me that "we're going somewhere fun and awesome for the entire day" feeling-- Renn Fest or Kings Island or the zoo or something. I guess that just shows how seldom I get up before noon on Sunday.

Not doing any of those today, unfortunately.

 

might be on the bill to play a major gig........and it's right across the river from me......I hear it every year,3 days of tunage......and I may be on that damn stage.

*crosses fingers*

 

I was just looking at the James Gandolfini thread (spelling?, not looking it up if that is off) and it reminded me of an amusing thing when Fallen was first released.
If my memory serves, I was in a Wendy's in Jacksonville, FL and started to quietly sing "Time is on My Side" like you see in the film when Azazel is using somebody. One of the people around me got this priceless look on their face like I was about to do something truly awful.

 

Hope that works out for you. It's a great feeling.

 

That film and Jeepers Creepers ruined two great songs for me for a long time.

Working bathroom appliances is a pretty fabulous thing.

(My sink has been like that for months. The stopper is in the drawer. I only use it when I need to hand wash things.)

 

My husband was a plumber's apprentice before he got into IT. It's fabulous

Though.. I will say I felt pretty wicked the first time I replaced a stopper/valve set.

 

It's really not a problem for me, married friend.

 

I'm just happy to know when fabulous people are getting busy over a functioning toilet.

 

I can't seem to work up the enthusiasm. My sink works fine w.out the stopper. Besides, if it were that dire, I'd just call in the maintenance guy. He's busy enough with actual important stuff.

 

I've fixed the toilet at work maybe three times now. It's stupid simple but judging by the awed looks I get from the interns, I may as well be Rambo cleaning a flesh wound with lit gunpowder.
