Hell no I don't read them. One of the "perks" of my job is sweeping the front lanes where all the registers are and hence all of the tabloids (People, Enquirer, OK, etc. etc) are placed to entice people to buy them along with candy or jerky. I see at least some of the front pages whether I want to or not.
Things I have "learned" over the past few years that I can recall now - Brad and Angelina have gotten married a least 5 times, or are 'this very second' planning on doing so 'very soon'
Stars I have never heard of on reality shows I have barely heard of that are less useful than tits on a bull are worthy of SCREAMING HEADLINES NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS.
On the Kanye and Kim "get the hell off tv and magazines" Kardashian -
    - Kanye is homosexual and has a male lover
    - Kanye has been cheating on Kim for the past year with some girl they of course put on the cover in a smaller box in the corner
    - At least a dozen other conflicting pieces of "news" I forget regarding those two clowns that only someone with an IQ of 43 or lower would even remotely care about

The two greatest tabloid cover stories I remember from my youth -
    0) B-25 Bomber found on the moon! - with picture of one of them on the lunar surface of course
    1) From 1989 - Hitler found alive in South America 100 years old! - with an a quite decently aged picture of Hitler showing how he would have looked at that age.

I know everyone has been worried sick over who will be directing the big screen version of that epic literary trilogy classic 50 Shades of Puk.....er.....Grey and if it will be faithful to the masterful writing.
Director Sam Taylor-Johnson chosen for 'Fifty Shades of Grey

I for one will be marking my calender when this epically...awful piece of sh...good film is released so I can be... anywhere else like getting a root can....first in line.

    Bjork has some crazy videos.

I'm about to lay some snack down on the "geniuses" at this Apple store. Seriously, I'm smarter.
However, I don't know how to handle the "service battery" warning on my new-to-me MacBook. I could help the three people next to me with their backup questions, software questions, and hard drive questions.
Making me a big fucking genius compared to these dudes.

And I'm singing Bjork's Army of Me now. It's kinda fun, picturing ways to go all 'Audition' on the Genius Bar.

Ha! We posted at the same time. They were unrelated, I promise.

In other news, I've been doing really well eliminating soda (as long as I have my morning coffee, anyway.) Today, though, I forgot my regular thermos of herbal iced tea. I'm thinking grocery run for a few bottles of Honest Tea here in a little bit.

Which kind? I love Honest Tea. Peach Ooh-la-la-long or Lori's Lemon or Just Green or Black Forest Berry...I pretty much like them all.

Oh, and yeah, I got a 4.0! This was a really hard term for me, so that was a nice reward.

Yep, me too. The Black Forest Berry had a weird, almost plastic-y taste the last time I got it, though, so I haven't had that one in a while. My absolute favorites are Just Green and Moroccan Mint.

  12. It was PERFECT though!

I haven't had caffeine or booze in a few weeks (I might actually keep it going. I KNOW...shocker. My friends may disown me, but hey, DD.) I am drinking a lot of caffeine-free soda though. I should cut that out too.

After dinner at S's family's house last weekend, his mother made me some delicious caffeine-free tea. I meant to ask her what it was, but spaced when his step-dad bombarded me with his collection of Japanese prints.

    CinnamonGirl The Cheat is GROUNDED!

I've been making pitchers of Celestial Seasonings tea. The current selection is Country Peach Passion. Other recent flavors: Peppermint, Lemon Zinger, and Chamomile. They're delicious (well, Lordeden doesn't think so. He refers to them as "poison tea," possibly because I don't sweeten them at all, and he's all about sweet tea with at least a cup of sugar), and the boxes are pretty.

  14. Are any of those caffeine-free?

Yep, all the ones I listed are caffeine free. I think all of their herbal teas are caffeine free except the Morning Thunder, but I'm not 100% positive on that one.

What's great is when our cups are sitting near each other, and he grabs mine and takes a big gulp. The facial expressions are priceless.

    I think you're right.

I drink some oolong (less caffeinated, but still caffeinated) in the afternoons, and then I switch over to either iced herbal tea (
Hibiscus Sangria Large Iced Tea Pouches | The Republic of Tea
), sparkling water, or Hojicha - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. The roasting process lowers the caffeine considerably, and the roastiness is quite delicious.

I told a friend recently that I don't really drink plain water. She freaked out and asked how I stayed hydrated. I have a regimen, and I drink quite enough to be hydrated without gulping down ounces upon ounces of plain water. It's not to say I don't drink plain water--I do when drinking.

  19. THANKS!

  20. I'm sooooo tired. 3 long days of travel, got home last night at 10:30. Up this morning at 6:15, awakened by a cramp in my right calf. Desk work today is about to put me under. Maybe an hour of cardio followed by mowing the yard will get me going later. Or maybe I'll just drink.
